Looking for a new case trimmer

My primary is a Giraud with Lyman Power as back up. Added a Forster 3 way cutter to the Lyman and it is super.

As much as I want to go with the Henderson, I'm having a hard time spending $1000+ to get what I want and another $70 for additional calibers beyond the.17, .20 and .22.
Is that $1000 for just a trimmer? I’m not in the market but wondering what else it might do. I’ve used a Forster since the 60’s.
Just trims.

I think that I was about $1050 with the 4 trimmers. Not cheap. Did about 300 20VT with it over the weekend. Had ordered a tray for the brass shavings which really helped keeping the mess under control. I didn't get the Henderson version but rather a 3d printed one that I found on Etsy. Small learning curve. Is it worth the price? Depends on what your time is worth and pain level of handling large volumes.

Since I had 200+ 20vt trimmed on the Lyman, I picked up the case prep setup for the Burstfire induction annealer. Pretty slick setup with the tray that magnetically attaches. Chamfer and debur and do whatever you need to do to the primer pockets. The Lyman Xpress plus the Burstfire case prep is a whole lot cheaper, but more handling and time consuming.

Go with the real Henderson or Giraud..you won’t regret it. I owned both..Giraud is cheaper ($) but is a quality tool that is faster than the Henderson in use.I owned a Giraud to close to 25 years..very smooth, quiet running and very reliable..never has an issues. Buddies owning them…experienced the same, use and forget tool. No hassles.

The Henderson - if you like the best quality tool..this is it.

As for the new RCBS..time will tell but since it work on the same principles than the Henderson..the Giraud will remain the king for cost, speed and easy use.
I own a Giraud and the RCBS. I completely agree with the statements made about the Giraud. Highly recommend for anyone in need of a case trimmer. Absolutely worth the cost of the unit.

One word: Giraud Trimmer, the "regular one" (which, coincidentally isn't one word).

ALSO you can have your smith use an old barrel to make the case holder for YOUR case. The Giraud is $575 plus case holders, I also added a cutter for each caliber because I didn't want to adjust so much, each cutter is 3 blades and I've had mine for several years now and may have used a different edge on the cutter once.

A trimmer not comming up often but is very precise is the Wilson trimmer.
I use mine for 6PPC - 30BR and for small batches of case - hunting caliber such as 30-06 that I don’t need a lots of ammo for.
