Looking for a new case trimmer

What am I missing? the RCBS trimmer is built by Henderson. Use the RCBS certificate for the trimmer and buy the 17 and 20 caliber heads from Henderson for use in the RCBS trimmer.

I seem to get chatter marks (probably not detrimental to accuracy) on my brass when I tried a Forster three-way trimmer on multiple occasions. I ended up going back to the Redding case trimmer each time. I've ordered a Giraud that should show up this month. I hope Giraud is everything it's hyped to be.
Are you sure that the Henderson 17 and 20 caliber heads will work on the RCBS? If they would, why wouldn't they be offered already.

I felt silly telling you this since you’ve done the research.

Am I sure? Until I’ve done it myself, my answer is always no. I posted what I found in the interwebs and my experience with case trimmers.

I don't know whether the Henderson cutter heads will work. They look similar. AI says that they should be interchangeable, but that is AI. Still puzzled if that is the case why RCBS wouldn't have the 17 and 20 caliber options. If they are, probably will be getting one soon.

I've done the search and was onboard with getting the new RCBS/Henderson case trimmer (I've got a $500 RCBS voucher to use) until I see that it doesn't do 17 and 20 caliber brass. Primarily looking for something to do volume 17 Rem, 204, 20VT, 20 Practical, 22-250 and 220 Swift mostly. Prairie dog shooting, not competition shooting. The primary appeal to the RCBS was due to the voucher. Hornady has the same issue, I really don't want to spend $900ish for the Henderson and Giraud nickels and dimes you to death. Frankford looks like an option. What am I missing? Thanks
Go to the Giraud Tool web page and see the list of cartridges they make holders for. May help with your selection process .....

I don't usually trim anything - but I had some Norma Dasher brass to shorten to Alpha Dasher so bought a Derraco. Works fine. I'm not sure that the inserts that you need are available off the shelf, but they would be simple enough to get made.
