Is that $1000 for just a trimmer? I’m not in the market but wondering what else it might do. I’ve used a Forster since the 60’s.As much as I want to go with the Henderson, I'm having a hard time spending $1000+ to get what I want and another $70 for additional calibers beyond the.17, .20 and .22.
Yes, ‘eventually’ being the operative word. Some ‘grow’ faster than others.New and don't know anything yet. I presume all cases eventually need trimming, whether handgun or rifle cases?
I think that I was about $1050 with the 4 trimmers. Not cheap. Did about 300 20VT with it over the weekend. Had ordered a tray for the brass shavings which really helped keeping the mess under control. I didn't get the Henderson version but rather a 3d printed one that I found on Etsy. Small learning curve. Is it worth the price? Depends on what your time is worth and pain level of handling large volumes. Is that $1000 for just a trimmer? Just trims.
I own a Giraud and the RCBS. I completely agree with the statements made about the Giraud. Highly recommend for anyone in need of a case trimmer. Absolutely worth the cost of the unit.Go with the real Henderson or Giraud..you won’t regret it. I owned both..Giraud is cheaper ($) but is a quality tool that is faster than the Henderson in use.I owned a Giraud to close to 25 years..very smooth, quiet running and very reliable..never has an issues. Buddies owning them…experienced the same, use and forget tool. No hassles.
The Henderson - if you like the best quality tool..this is it.
As for the new RCBS..time will tell but since it work on the same principles than the Henderson..the Giraud will remain the king for cost, speed and easy use.
Never had to trim handgun cases…ever …in 50 years of reloading.Yes, ‘eventually’ being the operative word. Some ‘grow’ faster than others.
Not a pistol shooter. I should have stated RIFLE casesNever had to trim handgun cases…ever …in 50 years of reloading…
ALSO you can have your smith use an old barrel to make the case holder for YOUR case. The Giraud is $575 plus case holders, I also added a cutter for each caliber because I didn't want to adjust so much, each cutter is 3 blades and I've had mine for several years now and may have used a different edge on the cutter once. One word: Giraud Trimmer, the "regular one" (which, coincidentally isn't one word).

Mr Henderson told me that they are not interchangeable.Anyone know if the Henderson trimmers will work on the Rcbs unit? Or wonder if they changed it so people can just pop on a Henderson trimmers on a Rcbs unit
I was just thinking of doing a post about my Derraco case trimmer and here I find that case trimmers are under discussion.I don't usually trim anything - but I had some Norma Dasher brass to shorten to Alpha Dasher so bought a Derraco. Works fine. I'm not sure that the inserts that you need are available off the shelf, but they would be simple enough to get made.

Figures as a business they don’t want parts to be interchangeable but Rcbs needs to step up and offer 17,20 and other calibers that Henderson supportsMr Henderson told me that they are not interchangeable.
