Henderson Case Trimmer - RCBS New Trimmer

Next step up to a “No Wobble” neck lathe won’t give you much change from $3K…
The 21st Century lathe means you don’t have to use your hands and arms to balance all the individual parts of more conventional neck turning products.
Just mount the case and align it onto the mandrel, press the button in the end of the lever and with a steady feed down the neck to the shoulder junction and back and you have a case turned to a fine finish.
The FCP is a true auto lathe and that is reflected in the price… I have watched them being assembled and they require a day + worth of work.
I won an AutoDod and it cut my neck turning time down by 75%. Not to mention it is a lot more accurate than my 21st Century turner.

So…… getting closer. Thanks @F Class John
Good as always.

So they are saying, turn the mic for cartridge changes, and just remember your mark for certain cartridges. Still stand by my previous rants. :)

And all those pilots that come with it……. I can’t wait for the reviews to come out when people start adjusting their cutting heads! If they are indeed the same as my Henderson. You won’t do that many times.

I hope I’m wrong, happened a lot. It’s just that the details matter and it’s looking like some details are being left out. I want to see the WHOLE video. Adjust your cutter and spin the mic. And have fun with that shaving catcher.

Glad mine is red.

Alright. A more comprehensive look. Cutters don’t interchange with Henderson. When changing cases there’s “a lot of turning to do on the micrometer”, so it’s what I figured.

Henderson had it done right, originally, minus the micrometer, ya need caliber specific cutting heads dedicated, brass shaving catcher is suboptimal, all the pilots included are fool’s gold, try adjusting one.

Mehhhh…… I think it will be a good system. You can buy complete cutter heads for the RCBS version just like you could with the Henderson. One cutter and multiple pilots simply lowers the entry price and allows people to buy only what they need.

The micrometer is simply a different way to achieve the same goal vs. the Henderson adjustment bolts. Many Henderson owners have wanted a micrometer option for years.

As to the shavings catcher…. The Henderson didn’t have one unless you ponied up extra. I don’t see how the RCBS version is a bad thing.

All this at a MSRP that’s 180 dollars less than the Henderson version. I fail to see how this is a bad thing. Unless you just really love the color red.
