Wow, I just realized this thread is 100 pages long!!!

Gotta be some kinda record!

Closing in on 1500 replies... curious if there's been any that have grown larger?

Jay was nice enough to check on that for me. Check out the stats below. :)
I checked the database - the longest running topic, sorted by number of replies, is "Long range load development at 100 yards.", with 144,530 views and 1495 replies. It's the only topic with 1000+ replies in the thread and the third overall thread by views. There are no other threads with even close to the number of replies (participation) that you have... :-)

The only two other threads with more views (not many, maybe +10K views) are the "Welcome to the Reloading Forum" sticky topic, and the "Official Gun Pix 'Pride & Joy'" threads, but they've been around far longer than your thread.
Did a seating depth test. nice day, just about 40, and no wind at the range.
43.5 grains of IMR4895, 185 berger Juggs, CCI450 primers Lapua brass

three shot groups all shot from prone using my bipod and SEB rear bag

Top row: Sighters/ 000 off the lands
second row: .005 off, .010 off
third: .015 off, .020 off
fourth .025 off, .030 off

If someone with OnTarget software would be kind enough to tell me the group size for ,015 off the lands, that would be sweet, I think it's a personal best....grid lines are 1in apart

That is great shooting. The "1 hole group" well done. I might print that and hang it on my wall for inspiration.
Thanks. The stars must have alligned, a wind gust came along and pushed the bullets and I jerked the trigger just right to correct for my bad shooting form, to get that group

Finally made it out to shoot the mid-range prone rifle I threw together this Winter. Fired 5, cleaned it and then ran the below.

Trued G prefix 700 Remington w/ factory bolt
26" Criterion Rem/Age. Heavy varmint profile, 1:8, 223 match chamber
Rifle Basix trigger
B&C light tactical stock with Tubbs 4 way and anschutz rail.
Test optic is 36X Weaver on 20 minute EGW base

Load was LC 13, FL sized -.002, .002 neck tension, CCI BR4, Berger 80 VLD @ -.015, IMR 8208

23.6 was just starting to show signs of pressure on the primers.

fspitzdorf, do you have any chronograph numbers for this test?
How much does the chrony data play into the choice of load to take to the next step. I know it is another piece of useful info but how does it fit in the equation and is it necessary for optimal results?

If there are more than one node that look good, the one with the lowest ES will be the one that will shoot best at long range. Chronograph data is one of the most important things in this step since it will tell us which load is the most consistent and will shoot best at LR.
