Let's snivel about the heat.

I'm in. Walked out to my truck about 1pm to go to the range. 113-degrees on my truck temp gauge.

I loaded my air rifle gear and drove 8 minutes to the indoor range. Comfy 72-degrees inside. Shot about a dozen 5-shot groups, drove over to Jersey Mikes and got a sub. Drove home. It was a balmy 102-degrees in my driveway. Took me two minutes to unload everything, and worked up a light sweat. Snivel...

PS: on a positive note, with primers over $100 per thousand, I am really beginning to like the air rifles. Want some fun? Go to RMAC 2023.com and read how airgunners competed for over $100,000 in PRIZE MONEY! All the $$$ I used to spend driving a day or two, paying entry fees, and getting a trophy. First Place at RMAC got a check for $20,000. Winner was shooting a $2,000 factory rifle that was tuned up. Just like the one I bought for that price. Oh, yeah; he shot H&N slugs that retail for $16 per tin of 200.

Want some cheese to go with that whine...?

That’s when it goes on/off in Wyoming. One of us is doing it incorrectly!! In Florida I’d have mine on 10 months a year and be in the basement. Above 65 degrees and I’m starting to get irritated.
The rest of the year it's 75 or so. Great for bike riding

O'Brien (North) Florida. 105* 90% humidity, I didn't see the heat index. House is set at 76*.
Cell phone said it was 96* but good quality thermometer tells the truth.

Presidio, Texas gets very hot as well. An old tale I heard is that the devil walks a tightrope between Chinati Peak in Texas to a mountain peak in Mexico. It's during the summer that he's right over Presidio and hence the high heat!

I now live in El Paso and I think that devil has moved over here and walking the rope between the Franklin mountains in Texas and a mountain in Juarez, Mexico.

When i see the weather report for you guys in the south i am amazed that any of you are shooting.
In northern Michigan we in the middle of a very cool summer, haven't run the AC yet.

I'm a Commercial HVAC contractor in Fort Worth. I personally don't care for the heat but it sure is good for business. But the heat is hard on you, especially working on a unit up on a roof for 12 - 14hrs. where it gets well over 120 degs. with that big heat lamp in the sky bearing down on ya. Then you get to fire up the torch and it makes it even better. The upside to it is, I don't have to be a good salesmen this time of year. It's when the weather is nice that I have to be a good salesmen.

I follow Gerhard “the winner” on his Chanel. Interesting guy with a lot of experience with center fires. The speed shooters are amazingly fast. Both finalist are teenagers.

Yeah, I talk with Gerhard a couple times a month. He and a friend I hunt with in RSA are friends. I am trying to convince myself to package a deal to hunt with Gerhard a couple days tied in with an Eland/Impala hunt this fall.
