Pretty observant. “A few centuries…” didn’t account for CFCs, planes, vehicles, and hot air from politicians. That’s it we’re done, turn out the lights, the party’s over.
We rarely had to pick them up off the ground, but did sometimes. We had no kicker but we would couple the wagons close behind the baler and you'd snatch them with your baling hook and drag them onto the wagon.I remember the hay wagons well. Didn't have anything to pick up the bale off the ground, except our arms. Got to where I could toss a 70 lb bale over my pickup if needed. Stack on the wagon then off to the barn to unload.
Kids complained one day, working in the garden, that it seemed that I never really did any "hard work" like their schoolmates parents. Told them I paid my dues already and I put in the "hard work" when I was younger and they were lucky they wouldn't have to do what I did but they were still going to learn to work.

Monsoon moisture now in S. Nevada, but up north we had 5% relative humidity a while ago, as dry as it ever gets here (95f temperature.) Last night it got down to 53 deg. at my home, so w/ doors and windows open all night the inside of the house was 65 this morning. That meant the A/C didn't kick on until around noon. Typical July weather. Not sure how Phoenix is doing but here in Yuma, We are showing signs of possible Monsoon weather!

Since they're talking about spraying reflective stuff in the upper atmosphere to reflect the sunshine away I propose an undertaking of similar magnitude; giant paddles to stir the colder water from down deep up to the surface and the warmer water down into the depths. I'll need about 11 million to study the feasibility. It's because of all those fish farts releasing methane into the ocean.
