You'd think by now the Rules Committee would be far-sighted enough to see something like this coming LOL. I anticipate the 2026 NRA Highpower Rules will be re-written [yet again] to read
exactly as follows:
3.4 F-Class Rifle
(a) F-Class Open Rifle (F-0) - A rifle restricted to a bore diameter no larger than .35 caliber. (Attention is directed to safety fan limitations of various ranges. Individual ranges may further restrict ammunition). “Rail guns” and positive mechanical methods of returning to the precise point of aim for the prior shot are not permitted. This includes any kind of rollers whatsoever, on any piece of equipment whatsoever, in any location whatsoever, you a**holes. Any safe, manually operated trigger is permitted. Any sighting system is permitted, but it must be included in the rifle’s overall weight.
(b) F-Class Target Rifle (F-TR) - A rifle limited to .223 Remington or .308 Winchester or their commercial and/or metrification equivalents. Chamber dimensions must not exceed the maximum SAAMI or CIP specifications. Bore, groove, and throat dimensions may be selected to suit bullets used. There is no restriction on bullet weight. The rifle must be fired off a bipod, rigidly attached to the rifle’s fore-end, and/or a sling. Any bipod, meeting the definition of a bipod, may be used but its weight must be included in the rifle’s overall weight. A bipod has never been, nor will it ever be, defined as having rollers, you a**holes. Also, the stock can't have rollers, either, so don't be an a**hole. Any safe, manually operated trigger is permitted. Any sighting system is permitted, but it must be included in the rifle’s overall weight.
3.4.1 Rifle Rests -
(a) F-Class Open Rifle (F-O)

(9) F-Open Front Rest Bags - The fore-end of the rifle must rest upon and/or be guided by the front bag(s) described elsewhere in this section. The rifle may not be supported or guided during recoil by rollers, wheels, or any other mechanical device, nor may any rollers, wheels, or any other mechanical devices be placed anywhere else on the rifle for that purpose, you a**holes.
(b) F-Class Target Rifle (F-TR)
.
.
(3) A bipod is a device with no more than two legs that touch the firing point. It must be rigidly attached to the forend of the rifle. The bipod may have rigid or folding legs, and may be adjustable to compensate for the uneven surface of the firing point. A bipod doesn't have any rollers anywhere, you a**holes.
.
(5) Any number or type of objects may be placed beneath the bipod or rear support to compensate for variations in height or slope of the firing point, except wheels you a**holes.
.
What do you think? Will this work, or would further clarification be needed?
