How about wheels on a bipod?
That was covered in the 2026 Rules under Section 3.4.1 (b-3):
.
.
.

(b) F-Class Target Rifle (F-TR)
.
.
(3) A bipod is a device with no more than two legs that touch the firing point. It must be rigidly attached to the forend of the rifle. The bipod may have rigid or folding legs, and may be adjustable to compensate for the uneven surface of the firing point. A bipod doesn't have any rollers anywhere, you a**holes.

You forgot to add 277 Sig Fury into the FTR rules! I know it’s not a NATO cartridge…yet, but then you said NRA rules not ICFRA.

I aguree with neds wording for the rules. I also believe that we can police those rules as with any rule it must be intrped buy the referee. He must always use good judgment and consider fair play

Ned, How about a big magnet in the right side bipod foot and a steel plate under the (short nap) carpet?

Electronic targets are authorized for National and Regional matches and are known for not picking up shots and have other range glitches, but you can’t have a rest with rollers which has no effect of your score. Technology has changed who can remember Agent Smart #86 calling Agent 99 from his watch? Now people make calls from their watch everyday who would have THUNK THAT!

I think Agent 86 had a shoe phone?

Well, looks like the NRA has turned F Class into the same cluster Benchrest has become. To me the answer is obvious, change the name of F Open to F Closed, let the NRA keep FTR and F Closed then start a new competition appropriately named F Open but divorce it from the NRA. It's not like the NRA is doing anything productive these days anyway. They are destroying competition while letting states take our guns away. Time to say Buh Bye to them.

The NRA included a clarification in the rule changes document.

*Requested Clarification – 3.4.1(a)(9) Felt sides will be allowed however, wheels/rollers have to be removed completely and may not be covered by any material. Mechanical devices are in regards to those touching the rifle directly.

I would like to make competitors aware why we are trying to clarify the rules. We as match directors and competitors should understand exactly what the rules imply. When a protest or challenge is filed in a match the answer needs to be quoted clearly by the known rules. Not by "I think" or "I interpret" the rules. Example: you have broken a record and a competitor comes up, challenges, and says your carpet is too tall. What's the director have to say about that.
I would love to be able to say, for example, the carpet is not over the prescribed 1/2" height and fits all legal requirements. "Challenge denied"
NRA rules committee, please give us an avenue to address rule interpretations and a get a texted response as soon as possible. This could be an NRA media site or forum to accommodate the questions and answers.

Rumor has it that NYS will soon ban rollers because they make guns more deadlier.

Also, the Biden admin is considering having ATF rule rollers a destructive device.
