I ordered an AMP Annealer!

Finaly able to get one ordered. I didnt realize they came with aztec mode now.

How much use do yall get out of the aztec mode vs regular settings for the cartridge? Does it make a big difference?

The auto feeder accessory isnt for me. I do 100 cases at a time usually. That auto feeder is overkill imo unless you have an operation going...

Anything note worth to relay to a new amp owner?

I think they made the unit idiot proof. I just got one too and can't wait to use it.

The current version of Aztec mode allows you to analyze your brass with your unit (destructive analysis) and tweek the settings to increase or decrease anneal depth. The original version had a sort mode that turned out not to provide the utlilty the designers though it would. I run anywhere from 100-350 pcs per run and I did not bite on the auto feed due to the price which DOES NOT include a hopper feeder that is purchased separately.

Id never want to ship my brass off.

And at a certain point you pay more to have someone else do it that youd spend doing it yourself..

$20/100 cases for anneal + $10 shipping. If you anneal enough cases, like I do, buying a machine and doing it myself is a no brainer.

$10 to ship and have 100 pieces done, and shipped back to you?

So you do that 100 times and its $1000..??

$20/100 cases for anneal + $10 shipping. If you anneal enough cases, like I do, buying a machine and doing it myself is a no brainer.

So annealing 100 cases 47 times pays for the annealer at $30 per hundred.

I reload for 15 different rifles, and can hit 47 times annealing 100 pieces with 3 rifles in less than a year... looks like I still dont regret my decision to buy a machine either. I agree. Cheaper to own a machine
