How to remove sizing wax

I’m probably one of the few fans of the Hornady wax in the little tin tub. I just wipe it off with a towel, I feel like it gives the case a little protection also.
I am unfamiliar with Hornady, but if it comes in a tin like Imperial, it is probably a "soft" (non-curing) wax. The problem with these is that they never completely dry, and may leave a residue that attracts unwanted debris. Lee comes in a squeeze tube that prevents exposure to air until used.

It may be, seems like a mixture of wax and oil. I like the way the case feels after wiping it down compared to the Imperial.

I wipe the cases with a rag about 25 at a time after sizing....again after seating the primers.....and one last time when they are loaded. It doesn't take much to get them clean.

Buy that stuff by the case. Works for everything really. Even carpets. Some guys use it as final prep before painting.

Also works on windows of course. :)
I also use it to remove water spots from the hood of my truck. For cases, I spray them with cheap 70% alcohol from Walmart. Been doing it for years.

Vibrating cleaner with corn cob meal. Likes been said then you gotta clean out the flash holes. Doug
Hmmm??? Am sure glad I use medium sized rice instead of corn cob meal as I don't like having to remove anything from the flash holes. With the rice, there's only a few primer pockets where a grain of rice gets stuck in and is easily removed. :)

Water cleans off RCBS 2 case lube. Or a rag.

Avoid waxy build up. ;)

Denatured alcohol/ethanol should not contact cartridge brass. There are 2 . One has more water in it.

Paper towel or Scott rags - been doing it this way since dinosaurs roamed the earth, i.e., thousands of cases.

No need to go into the weeds on this one but I am there is a video on You Tube that does.

I use denatured alcohol on a microfiber cloth. Takes 10-15 minutes to carefully inspect and clean 100 loaded rounds.
Same here with the amount of time. I will still pull out the tumbler for my .223 and 6.5 Grendel though. Maybe I'll give it a go with dentatured alcohol.

Alcohol in a spray bottle and an old shirt or microfiber cloth gets it all off. Use the 70% so it stays wet on the shirt or microfiber cloth.
