It's not unusable as is, if I flip it on its side the wood goes into the other slot for the lower cross brace (which I don't use).Do you have a large propane torch? If so hear it up to near cherry red and use a pry bar to move the metal back. Won’t be easy and the frame will need paint, but that’s how it’s done.
