How do I fix this dimple?

My son in law managed to shoot my target stand , how can I fix it at home? I knew a welder that would have fixed it but he moved out of town.IMG_20211230_160326.jpgIMG_20211230_160335.jpg

I was thinking of a c-clamp and squeezing it but it won't fit.

Anyhoo my SIL bought me a steel target spinner so I'm not upset at him.

Do you have a large propane torch? If so hear it up to near cherry red and use a pry bar to move the metal back. Won’t be easy and the frame will need paint, but that’s how it’s done.
Thanks I had thought of heating it up. It's not unusable as is, if I flip it on its side the wood goes into the other slot for the lower cross brace (which I don't use).

Take it by a local body shop and talk with thier frame tech.

If you want to try a torch and prybar as riflewoman suggests, work the outer edges of dent 1st, working your way to the center.

Google welders in your area. To do the job properly, that needs to be cut out and a new piece of steel welded in. the easiest thing to do is simply buy a new one. they can't be that expensive. Or simply cut it out. It will still hold the wood upright.

Drill a 1/2" hole in the back wall of the tube directly in line with the high spot of the dimple. Heat dimple cherry red, use flat nose punch through previously drilled hole. and 3 lb. hammer to flaten dimple while front side of tube is supported on a solid surface. Could be worked cold but may take more time and a bigger hammer. Let SIL do the repair so he will be motivated to shoot better.

LOL, no home propane torch will heat that up cherry red.
I would weld a threaded rod right into the hole then make a small bridge with a hole to the ends
and use heat and a nut to pull it out then cut the rod off.

Take it to a welding shop.
