New reloader having a Decapper issue

Hey guys.. I'm new to the whole reloading thing..

Today I was working through a pack of my 8mm brass and I got about 25 of them done before I managed to pull the decapper out of the decapper clamp on the down stroke.. woops..

I had to basically destroy that piece of brass getting the decapper out of there.. I put it back up into the clamp and tightened the clamp as tight as it would go, but now it seems like its apt to pull down out of the clamp..

My brass is lubricated per the manual (and instructions given to me) but now I'm concerned I've screwed up my die since it seems to want to pull out..

How do I fix this?

Thinking I hadn't used enough lubrication I intentionally used a lot of lube on the inside of the next piece of brass just to make sure, and it still moved the decapper..

Thoughts?

I'm not sure where to start, so we need more info, what brand of brass are you using? What brand and type of die are you using? This will help allot.
If your using a standard type of F.L. sizing die (with a ball inside to expand the neck) you only need the slightest amount of lube inside the case neck, and only a little over the entire outside of the case.
If the sizing chuck wont hold the decapping pin, you may need to replace just that part of the die. And make sure your using the correct decapping pins, there are two, one is the standard pin, and the other is slightly smaller on one end, and is for brass like the Lapua BR cases, with a smaller flash hole.
If you answer the first two questions, I think you will find the answer hear.
Mike.

Sorry.. the dies are "Lee Reloading Dies" for the 8x57 Mauser.. they are the full sized die

The brass has "W-W Super" stamped on the bottom.. ? I'm guessing that's Winchester?

The decapper pin widens outward to expand the neck, not a ball really but does the same thing I assume.. It seems like this is where its hanging up.. I am putting lube in there, but like you said a small amount..

Maybe I'm just not tightening the decapper clamp enough.. I dunno..

i belive you need to tighten the nut on top of the die more. the decapper pin and inside neck expander are one pice. (it's not like the rcbs dies)

the directions in the die set i have say to make the decapper rod flush with the decapper clamp(nut on top) and tighten. this needs to be tight enough so when the inside neck sizer part comes back through the neck it will not pull out of the nut.

took a little thinking why you had to cut the case apart to get everything back.
