Got a question for you all

Hoz
I understand your point, however we are only hearing one side of the story 'many people have drawn conclusions without even considering the sellers side.
I know for absolute certain that if anyone drags my name through the mud on speculation I will be very angry.
J
And I agree with you 100% -I’ve thought about what you say before. Thing is the seller has had plenty of opportunity to air his side if he wanted to. To me him not doing that speaks about what he is about. If arshuter is telling a complete fabrication (which I doubt) and I were the seller I’d be on here with plenty of posting about my side of the story.

Take the judgemental aspects out of it for a moment. Just the facts.

The seller has $500

The buyer has a broken scale

In a good faith transaction the seller should take it back and refund the buyer.

Now I’m out ;)

Look I know none of you guys know me. I do know personally about a dozen members here one of which is very highly thought of. I forwarded pics of the packing to him. I know he's been following this thread. If he thinks I'm lying about this i 100% encourage him to say so.
I also know the seller has been by by a few comments he's.made. He has finally gotten back to me about 1/2 an hour ago. He stepped up and told me to send him the scale and if determined it was his fault he will pay for repairs and I will receive a scale that works.

SAME DEAL THE POST OFFICE GAVE YOU!!!

I took everything to the local post office. They said wasn't packed well enough. If I file they take the scale all packaging etc. The local police had a 50% say in the final outcome and I already know what their decision is.
I don't understand the logic of the USPS response. If they took the money to insure the package, they should be liable for the claim no matter the packaging. I suspect the USPS employee checked the packaging as adequate before issuing the insurance!

I've sent enough through the post office to know if it's in a sealed box, which this was in a flat rate box , they just want your money

Insurance thru the Post Office sux. I'll only send something by the USPS that something not worth insuring or of very low cost. I've had it with them! Nothing but excuses and "why not", and if they do decide to pay a claim expect less than the insured value of the items THEY HAVE LOST!

I had to file an insurance claim with USPS on an item at one time. The entire process took 3 weeks from start to finish. If you'll file the claim online, it goes much faster and smoother. You are reimbursed for the actual value of the item, not for the insurance amount. They also reimbursed me for the shipping cost, which I did not expect.
