Got a question for you all

Milo your absolutely right.
Creeps are everywhere '
I see it every day at work when I drive into my construction site and my dumpster is full of neighbors furniture or my lumber gone.
I refuse to raise my kids that way or participate, I have this thing in my head called honor, pride and respect for others.
I also have this stupid list of Man laws I go by" don't get me started on that one ;)
I do encourage the two parties to come to a solution off site Man to Man.
There's always two sides to a coin.
Best Regards
Jim
Scum bags can't even spell honor let alone Pride. It is really to bad as it hurts a lot of folks on this site that want to buy and sell but are a bit reluctant to push the button

I had one bad deal so far. I sold a working chrono from Stienert Sensing. The buyer said the battery compartment was corroded. He shipped it back and I refunded his money...Ok so far. I emailed the company in Norway and they checked the serial number on the bad unit. Wasn't mine. He basically switched a non working unit for my working unit for free. The company made good on the replacement without any issues, so all was well...but I remember this guy, and I will always remember this guy.

For this type of transaction, he deserves to have his name posted. LDS

I finally heard back from him. His reply is "remember there is risk to the transaction on both sides of the fence, you just can't put it back on me for everything. It was.packed in bubble wrap and properly sent."

Yeah, but it’s not risks on “both sides”.

In this situation the buyer assumes all the risk. He has to pay up front for the item and if the product isn’t received in satisfactory condition it’s tuff titty. The seller has $400 and the buyer has a broken scale.

The seller should take it back and refund the buyer. Pretty clear cut to me

i have bought and sold a lot of stuff on this site. i have shipped stuff even before recieving payment. i was also selling a bunch of bullets and got the orders all screwed up. everyone was nice about it and i think i finally got it straightened out. never had a problem with any buying or selling here.

never have i found a group as honest and helpful as those on this forum. but there are always the bad penny's in every group. rare here though. if i was the seller i would just take it back and send it out for repair. just chalk it up to a bad experience.

The hardest part of having faith is praying for the ones that wrong us. It kinda sucks actually but helps.
Lord I pray, so n so has found the error in thier ways, and has given himself to you fully and accepted you in thier heart.
Cuz the next time I see them thier ASS belongs to me!!
I haven't always been such a nice guy.

Agreed

Broken in transit .... File claim ?
I took everything to the local post office. They said wasn't packed well enough. If I file they take the scale all packaging etc. The local police had a 50% say in the final outcome and I already know what their decision is.

I f i can figure out how to post pics from my phone i will post pics of the packing as I received it or if someone that knows how would PM me a number i will send pics to them to post.

Buyer should have asked for a time period after sale to inspect quality of item being bought. Obviously did not.
Seller should have not ditched out on buyer.
2 wrongs don't make it right.
Other than negative feedback in trader history, buyer unfortunately dosent have much recourse. Imo

IMO it's on the seller in this case. The buyer paid for an item that worked, and that's what he deserves. The seller made the conscious choice to sell online, and therefore ship something as delicate as said scale.

I not sure if I've ever been right'
The question was asked I gave my opinion.
I don't know either Gentleman
The seller has a good history and says the product was working when sent, the buyer says it doesn't work on arrival so something happened in between as per a mans word!
Now the question is should it be public with color glossy photos and all that or discussed in private Man to Man.
I would take the second path as I said before.
Now if you were there and have first hand knowledge of foul play that may be the case as I was not.
I just don't think it should be on the internet.
Sorry to differ in my approach.
Jim
Lots of different opinions on this matter. I think that’s good-that’s what makes the world go round. One things for sure though. I wanna know who this seller is cause I don’t want to buy anything from him. I don’t think I should have to wait to find out who this is until I get screwed by him. AR shooter would at least get the satisfaction of knowing he prevented the guy from doing this to someone else. Sellers like this hurt all sellers on here. Buyers are just a little more reluctant to buy after something like this happens. We should take whatever action we can to prevent this kind of stuff from happening. If that means IDing this guy so be it.

Of coarse I know if this gets settled Mano/Mano like you suggest I may not have to worry about buying anything from the guy:rolleyes:

Hoz
I understand your point, however we are only hearing one side of the story 'many people have drawn conclusions without even considering the sellers side.
I know for absolute certain that if anyone drags my name through the mud on speculation I will be very angry.
J
had that happen to me right here a short time back,,guy never did PM me back,,

When I got to the part about quarter inch bubble wrap and a $500 electronic scale.
Well that made me cringe right there and that's all I'm saying about it.
