wondering where Mr M went? And Hog? Seems that some of the great minds are off cooking up something. I thought since Jammie was such a shooter we would see some posts, but alas, no wisdom. Just saying I am missing the conflageration of great minds working together, pouring out the brainstorms and looking for more better ways. So the invite is on...Mr M? Shoe I appreciate your sediments, but your praise is misconstrued. All shooters I know are really good guys and share wisdom with no thought of gain or profit. While some may blow a horn now and then, it is all in the interest of the sport and in the end they are just like me, all true istic. Just like you, slathering praise where it is undeserved. I have been thinking. Maybe we should form a consortium of like minded pioneers in the handloading world, say some of the guys here, and start a special forum section. Kinda like "Click and Clack" of the automotive world. we could answer questions posed by folks who own reloading equipment but are not as deeply in tune with how things work as we are. We could become the next "dear Abbey" (ya, it was two people, but we would be better, cause we are more, and more smart too) for the shooting world. I think we have a lot to offer. Ya think it would gain traction?

I love my 460 Hornet Lott Improved. Is yours built on a Martini or did you go with the 581 conversion? I used the 581. had a tough time getting a reamer, but in the end it worked out. I am getting groups similar to yours, though I use old appliances for my target sight in. More common here in the east than rocks.

Yep reamers are rare as hens teeth for sure. I had ordered the standard version but they messed up and sent the improved and I have to say I'm glad they did.
The 581 conversion is they way to go. Martini's are nice but if I have too many I fall down.
What are you using for bullets? I made my own. The area I'm hunting we have to use non lead. Something about being toxic to animals so I used DU for the cores. Still nice and heavy but no lead toxicity. Sure is a fun cartridge, can't wait to see how it performs on game.

Coriopolis effect ( head ache coming on ) how did I know ?
Some teacher give answer in such a manner that you work them out for your self, they don't say 3 they say 1+1= ?(3)
I was going over some of snert's writings and noticed he doesn't suffer from the coriopolis effect ( in his own words )
He States that he hold his pistol side ways and it counter the effect √
Latter in the post unconscious knowing
Is mildly implied ( 1+1 = ) so I decided to test the theory, my rifle is at the Smith's, so called up a friend and got down to testing, test rifle 300win mag
Ffp scope which is also hinted at lapped with sand compound some of my own hand loads
The 300 was to heavy to hold out sideways and look down scope, so I improvised laying on it side on bench making sure to have the barrel free of any pressure points
Got comfortable, butt gently placed on shoulder, clear view through scope ,
You can figure out the rest !

Yes, your the first person I've known to catch on to that. I've gone round and round with guys about that. When I explain cornucopia goes good with Pi and whipped cream they finialy understand.

Might be. Lots of ethnicity in the Coraopolis area. Use to be a fantastic pizza joint there. But since I was there on a scientific discovery and research ambition, I barely partook in the food. I was there only to ascertain more better knowledge of the Coraopolis effect and how it can be overcome with winter mentalization exercises, canting my firearm and reverse tork rifling...oh darn it...there I went and let the possum out of the basket!

He has shared we should do something to Cheer him up !!
At first I thought, get him some ,powder,
Or bullets,
Then I thought one of you boys could take him on a hunt , some spot with no wind Good open range, so he can test his skill and rifle out to 50-60 yards
I know these distances could frustrate him! But image how good he would feel if he score one out at 60yards
