Good for a laugh

Ya know Snet come to think of it, the last time I was there I was about 5 sheets to wind. I was talkin to a guy about the spicy crow gyros they serve there. I've eaten lots of it. Anyways this guy I was a talkin to said I should try ground hog lasagna some time. He was to get the locals there to introduce the Eastern Ground Hog there so they could have some too. The problem was they don't have soy beans there, but they were hoping they might eat that red moss that grows everywhere down there. Anyways after eating lots of crow and a few too many shots of that black liquer and then a couple too many rides on the mechanical red stag, I wasn't feelin too good and I had to leave early. Don't remember much else. But any ways I was wondering if you might have heard anything about that?

Whew! Clearly your memory of geographical locations has been pickled by whatever dark likker you were partaking. Coraopolis is in western PA. There are no mechanical bulls, red stags or for that matter anything but numerous Picksburg Stillers yellow Terrible Towels. Since the 70's there are not many groundhogs either..so any groundhog lasagna is highly suspect. Here Kitty kityy kitty..

At least I know you were not there. I still have doubts about stork. and how did the hunt go with the HLI 460? Manage to knock over any bunnies?

The weather seems to be breaking here, as I have shoveled a tunnel up to the roof and see some sunlight. I did note a groundhog on a snow mound today...first of the season to venture out, like me. I think with the new sunlight on the horizon, we should have grass here by June 1, so I anticipate my yearly bath and a change, of sorts. Maybe this thread will have to be revisited next September when it snows again....

Shoe, I just noted that a blizzard is inbound for NY and also the Bulletin section on this auspicuous site says that there are now stick on temperature indicators for our barrels. No more waiting till it is dark outside to heat up our barrels on the grill for gain twisting! We can epoxy one one the end and guess at the rest. Just be careful with that epoxy...don't be going and palm-slapping your forehead when you make a new discovery...

Off to my bunker to work on a new bore cleaning solution. Snow should be melting off in a few weeks

I don't know if I want any more on my barrel, I've already got the torch tacked on to cover the grinder scars and that piece of vice grip, and my portable wind flag, should of thought more about that
Only really works when wind is at 3 o'clock , might just need to get used to it
Problem is if I grind of the post, I'll have to tack on another torch, although would be nice to know barrel temp, how much does it weigh ?
Don't worry about epoxy I've learnt from the percussion cap incident still got one glued to my finger

Thinking about new barrel cleaning solution, we know how well our scope lapping process works, may be some thing along those line,
How many shots before you clean BR
You could grab some assorted grades of sand, will need a medium old sump
Comes to mind (diesel ) I think the trick will be not to patch, blow clean with fouling shot,
Any way give it a go and keep record on accuracy between different grades of sand, you may also notice less pressure
Signs as procedure progress also keep records
Let me know how it goes ?

Well Shoe, JLT, SWD, Stork and Mr M,

It has been some time since we last consorted and I strongly suspect that maybe Stork and Shoe finally had that run-in behind the shed where the 72 quart cooler bait was set. Let's hope they worked out any differences and the Mrs was able to explain everything sufficiently.

I just thought I would mention that MrM has promised to make good and visit me here in my new digs, or at least nearby for a Sandwich and wings. He said his bride is coming with him. This made me suspicious because I saw his video AND his photo...she must be VERY understanding.

In the mean time I have been working on some new ideas. I moved south so I am closer to the equator and the Coraopolis Effect is much closer now (according to Google only 12 miles) and I have certainly noticed it at the range. I bought my PA Game Commission Official Printed Permit to use the PAGC range. It came with a little miniature straw hat and suspenders?? Anyhow, when I went to the range it seems everyone there was related to Ford. All the guns were black. Any color you want as long as it is black I guess. I bet I started something when I pulled out my purple NY gun. And the my Yellow one. By the time I left I noticed some stares and all. But I think in time I might get those guys to try Birkenstocks and a man bun.

My twisted barrel rifle did impress. That 460 Lott Improved Hornet with SWD's special green glow bullets sure did make a hole in the backstop. I think I hit water cause steam was wafting away after my shot.

I sure hope you all are out getting at it and working on research for an "ask the experts" thread. See you in the later winter when I return to NY to research. And if MrM really does show up, I will try to grab a photo for posterity. At least it will prove it wasn't him in the cooler...

Snert
At the risk of sounding "paranoid" ,how did you know about the bait set behind the shed ?? I tell you! he is a sly one
He can avoid my Cam's and get away with beer's clean, I've even check foot prints and can only find mine and Miss's not a single photo or print to be found ,
So for peace of mind, I've move 230klms away , changed all the phone Numbers, let's see him find us now !!!
Are you still going to external twist Mr M barrel, if so would love see the look on his face !!
:) o_O

Coraopolis Effect, just keep north ,south, east, west, in mind and adjust as previously mentioned!
If you have have trouble adjusting keep shots under 45 yard's
I think you may have let the cat out of the bag (what green glow bullets ??)
When you see Mr Majestic give him my regards !

I have no trouble believing your ""yellow "" bang stick turns Head's look a the the reaction on daisy eater's
Did you solve the primer pocket problem in the 460 hornet ?

:oops::oops:
"stork" he's still suspicious, did you find the beer's I left !
Moved to collinsville qld closer now than before , you know he doesn't even realize you can delete Photo's on his camera trap
Talk soon !!
