FTR shooters at Raton?

Huh? What are you talking about here? I've never observed anyone shooting with a towel over their action? Then again, I didn't see every shooter.

I use a small towel to keep the sweat running down from my face onto the stock. It's factored into the weight of my setup.

Yes, there were many shooters especially when the wind came from the "port" side. Ultimately, it wasn't going to save your scores one bit but it certainly help keep those actions from damage.

Both positive for safety and negative for safety....

It was a hoot watching a whole batch of shooters dive over their rifles when a gust would blast through. That grit is nasty!

So there is the rule, and then there is the enforcement of such rule. Not so easy... but I agree that more has to be done to enforce what is already on the books. We certainly do not need any more added.

To LarryB and the rest of the event crew, FANTASTIC job. That is a massive undertaking and it was done smoothly and professionally. One of the best run matches I have had the pleasure of shooting at.

Hopefully, we will offer the same positive experience when you all come up to shoot in Canada. At least, you will not have to pull targets :-)

And yes, I was thrilled to get my prize envelop. Made up for the trainwreck that was my individual shooting.

F/TR is damn hard and it takes more skill than F-open.
Just one question, do you shoot F-Open and ever win it?

The gap is narrowing with the latest bi-pods (if you can even still call them that)
I have watched the progression of bipod technology over the last few years and am now seeing F/TR rifles tracking almost as well as the F-open rigs.
That is a good thing to my eyes - that means the sport is growing/progressing!

For Pete's sake, are we all comfy with the new joy-stick equipped bipods? Can you in good conscience call that a bipod?
What makes it's not a bi-pod??? It has two legs, it's not a tri-pod or so, it moves together as one unit with the rifle during recoil etc. Yes it has a quicker vertical & horizontal adjustments, but if I recall the related rules never say the bipod must not have any adjustments, and most bipods have adjustments in them.
Advantage(s)? Probably - but I'm sure you would agree with me that many things (or most things) depend on the shooter, not the gears or the bipod you use. If you are not capable to win, no matter with what you use you will not win. That's for sure!
