First Look at the Ingenuity Precision Powder System

Oh wow, that light... not for me. Clean-up in isle 10.
Yeah, that was one thing the SuperTrickler did well....the light was shielded from being directly in your eyes, but was bright and made it easy to see if you had a success or failure.

However, I was under the impression that the big selling point of this unit is the fact that it never overthrows, so why the need for a light?

I had a couple questions and emailed them earlier this evening and 4 min. later my phone rang and it was the owner calling me to answer my questions. As far as the light, people were asking for it. I had a great conversation with him for about 30min. He answered all my questions and was very free with info and went above and beyond answering my questions. He did state the clear acrylic wind shield was too expensive to produce because of the way the clear acrylic has to be molded to keep from getting bubbles. And from talking to him he is still looking ahead and brainstorming trying to think if there are ways for possible future improvements. I think it's going to be a great unit and the best out there in my book. The ease of use is big and having an app for the phone and a hard control box is nice too, your phone goes down or you loose it you can still use it and some people don't have a cell phone or like using them. You gotta like a company where the owner calls you up in person to answer your email questions! It was about 7:30 pm here in Ca. so I imagine it was at least 9:30 PM where he was.also I don't think he is set exactly how the wind shield is going to be, I think he said he was still working with some ideas and its not finalized. It was refreshing in this day and age to actually be able to talk with some one at a business let alone the owner calling you. I think everyone who placed an order is going to be very happy with it for a long time.

Oh I didn't mean a light, I meant the implementation of it. A light is fine but a hole in the back that it mounts into and a quick detach for the wire on the outside would be simple and elegant at the same time. Putting that light box on such a nice clean looking setup, nope. Lighting up the inside of that draft shield you certainly would see the light and colors just fine.

yeah the superspiller needs a multicolor light so it can tell you which error state it is in from throw to throw

Then you can reference a diagram to figure out how to proceed depending on which light is flashing

LOLZ!

What's up with the negativity? Whether it over throws, it is not priced to compete, under throws, ...... not any of your business. You either buy it and put it to good use or you don't buy it.

If you had the mental capacity and mechanical ability to do what Paul, Adam, Rex and other guys have done, I am sure you would have charged the same.

High end products are never designed to compete with the going rate market value. $1500 MDT chassis or a $4300 scope was never designed to compete with $500 market. Same applies to IP

You don't like it or have any negativity go to other sites. There are ton of like mentality over there.

The SuperTrickler was a super waste of time. I’ve never waited to throw a piece of reloading equipment out a window until that unit. Rex straight up lied about the AI and its capabilities. AI was useless, the unit collected static like no other and caused the scale to drift like crazy. It is a bad product and that’s being polite about it.

The IP should actually hold the name SuperTrickler considering it will deliver what it promises.

I bet you did "Throw it" out the window.

If you have the ability to make them better and at a $500 price point, get off the site and get to work.

Nah, sold it after 2 months and went back to my V4 and V3 with the IP Trickler. The SuperTrickler is just a bad product and it was clear after owning one that Rex staged the videos he posted about it. It worked decent at first and got progressively worse with use.

They all will throw plus or minus a kernel, which is good enough for anyone..

This is a pure juvenile argument.

The fact that he can’t or doesn’t want to make a competing product has zero relevance to his opinion on and experience with available products.

Really?

The superspiller will throw to plus or minus a kernel about 80% of the time.

The accuracy counter on the machine was added by Peter on my recommendation because I was manually logging data into a spreadsheet to monitor the performance during testing. Prior to that, the counter just tallied successes and consecutive successes, and ignored the failure rate.

In retrospect, the accuracy counter (successes/success+failures) contributed to the downfall of the machine because it killed my (and others’?) optimism about the actual success rate. You have that shit number of 79% staring you in the face after a session and you were thinking: Did I really throw out 21 charges that I waited to be dispensed?

Ever wonder why a funnel is included with the super spiller? it is because you are going to be dumping a lot of overages back into the hopper. It Is a routine fact of superspiller life that you discard one out of at least every four or five throws with extruded powders. The fact of routine overages is even discussed in the manual in terms of the trade-offs between accuracy and time. And a funnel is included because of how frequently you are going to have to dump overages. that right there is all you need to know about the superspiller: it comes with a funnel for overage discards

ETA: I just remembered that it doesn’t come with a funnel any longer, because one of the housings got broken by the funnel in shipping and so REX stopped including the funnel, but it was initially shipped with a funnel

This is an absurd statement. Consumers spending their money demand a product that works. In fact, their money does the talking.

Insisting people just lay back and accept shortcomings of a unit such as overthrowing (ATV4) or 30+ seconds throws (Supertrickler), for example, because it respects the creators divine creative effort... Is laughable.

No one here buying a high level trickler is blind to the price. What they are concerned about is value and performance of a said unit AT THAT COST. If history has shown anything, the road is paved with promises and under delivery on units that simply don't perform (ATV4, ST).

Customers are allowed to have an opinion and be critical of a product. Thats how the free market works.

Also, most of us are fully capable of being able to love/like a product, and dislike or criticize a particular function, feature, or design within said product.

This is a discussion forum, and we are discussing.

I’m curious if you remember what operating system came with your ST. Everything after 2.2 with the powders I use was a big step backwards (crap). If I had to use a later operating system and that was my starting point I wouldn’t be happy either.

But your experience isn’t everyone’s. I really like my ST. It’s fast and works great. I’m one of the few people that travel with it, and have it outdoors at matches reloading year around rain or shine.

Yes I’ve owned most of the other throwers V1, V3, V4, V3 with Ingenuity Tricker. All of them had positives and negatives.

But really you need to stop badmouthing a product on a public forum. That’s aimed at @secondofangle as well.

If being honest about a product is bad mouthing, then so be it. They pushed out a product I spent money on that should not have been released yet and lied about what it was capable of. I have no remorse for being honest.

I agree with you about having a discussion. Look at their @secondofangle & @jthor comments and see if they are discussing or just complaining and knocking the products.

And interestingly only them two responded to my post.

I’m in the same boat, I load Varget and N150 and have it setup plus or minus a kernel and it’s pretty much spot on every time..my scale does drift every now and then, but with a little effort I just hit the rezero button..Varget loads 6-8 seconds and N150 8-10 seconds
