Hey Midwest shooters! The Elk River Sportsman's Club is hosting a Mid Range F-Class/ Prone Match on April 16th and 17th, 2011. Saturday will have two 20 shot matches at 300 yards. Then after a delicious BBQ lunch, US F-Class National Team coaches Steve Knutson and Rick Hunt will be giving a wind reading and shooting clinic with both classroom and range sessions. These coaches are some of the best in the country. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from the best. Sunday the match will continue with four 20 shot matches at 600 yards. email or PM me and I will send you a copy of the match bulletin Pullbanger@aol.com

You should take advantage of this chance to learn from Steve and Rick. Both US National team shooters/coaches. Nice to see some Long Range clinics going on around the country.

Elk River is now really a suburb of greater Minneapolis located Northwest of Mpls. Cabelas has a store in Rogers, MN about 5 miles South of Elk River. There is camping available on the grounds, electric and water hook-ups as well as motels nearby.

I'd like to thank everyone for their interest in the clinic. I am the president of the club and run the F-class league each summer. I started out as a OTC shooter but have gotten distracted by F-class. The clinic came about as a means of helping some of us less experienced shooters get a jump start on wind skills.

Steve is an awesome coach and a very talented shooter as well. I really appreciate them volunteering their time to help the sport grow. As we all know, this sport is a challenge to get started in and any help gaining skills usually learned through years of shooting helps speed up the learning curve.

All,

Shot the poor man's Perry in 2007 while in the area visiting my son and his family. Nice range, friendly people. I'd go, but it's a long trip from SW Florida. 8)

you should be able to go online and become a member of the nra. I dont think the clubs nra person will be there, but you will likely be able to sign up there if nra officials are going to be there.

Ok, I am already a member of the NRA i just thought there may be something else to sign up for with all of the scored competitions and whatnot.

Talking snow? heck we got it up here!!

FYI - from an email I received

Hi Shooters,
All of you are aware of the snow coming Saturday. I am cancelling Saturday's event. The Wind Clinic will take place on Sunday morning starting at 8:30 am following registration starting at 7:30 am. It will take about 3 hours for the clinic, and then there will be a 60 shot match at 600 yards following the clinic. The lunch originally planned for Saturday will take place on Sunday after the match is completed.

Please pass the word to others who may be interested.
