There are some other shooters that come from your area that shoot with us sometimes you could hook up with them for a ride. Should be a piece of cakes. Just make sure you stay with the guys on this side of the border. some of those ND guys can be trouble:}
Mike

Ya Buddy, Team Lefse has a reputation.. we can shoot okay but will fight for food....

Boltman. send me a pm and we can chat offline. Elk River Guys are a great group of guys with a fantastic range. For us up here, we have the Forks Rifle Club and its a great range too. Big difference tween the Elk River Range and the Forks is the Forks only has 2 trees... I am a club member and it too, is a great facility for the area...

Rod in Fargo..

Could I get some information on camping? Are there going to be others camping over? Any power hook ups?
Thanks
Troy
Troy,
ERSC has 4 electrical hook ups and water but no septic. Plenty of tent camping space too. There is usually a few campers for the early matches. /The MN stste championship will have a bunch of campers. Email me at pullbanger@aol.com to reserve a spot. I can arrange for an access card too.

Re: Minnesota Wind Clinic and Spring Match

thanks for the warning about the ND guy's I was kinda wondering haha ;). thanks the web site it helped.

Re: Minnesota Wind Clinic and Spring Match

New rifle finally made it here on Thursday....yesterday at the range was barrel breakin. Going to need some serious good luck with load development this coming weekend to have the rifle ready to go for these matches. Please God, no rain/snow, or high winds.
Looking forward to seeing some old friends and meeting some of the others on this forum.

Good luck!

I think I have mine figured out, but yesterday got MV 100fps slower than I had been getting so I'm thinking I'll need to do some more testing

Re: Minnesota Wind Clinic and Spring Match

Looks like I'll have to wait for another wind reading course at a later date. :(

Would love to come to this but due to circumstances beyond my control I won't be able to attend. :'(

Re: Minnesota Wind Clinic and Spring Match

I just looked outside. I now have one question. Is it legal and does the club provide a toboggan to put our shooting mats on so we can stay on top of the snow? Also where can I get a good pair of snowshoes? I will volunteer to be pit boss if I can throw snowballs at anyone that screws up. Score 13 whaap. Sounds Like fun.

Re: Minnesota Wind Clinic and Spring Match

Range Update:
About 7" of wet, heavy snow fell Sunday night through Monday morning. I walked the range last night and the snow had settled to around 3". Another inch fell overnight. Forecast for the next 10 days is for highs in the 40* with wind, rain and some snow. I will plow off the 600 yard line today and the wind will dry it out before the matches. Sunday is forecast to be in the 50*. We will shoot and we will have fun!

Re: Minnesota Wind Clinic and Spring Match

Still need to get a chronograph set up to measure velocities and get drop chart made for the new rifle >:(. Hope there is decent enough weather to do that on Sunday. This weather is playing havoc on everyone trying to get new combos ready for next weekend.

Re: Minnesota Wind Clinic and Spring Match

Ya, the glaciers are just not retreating as planned up here. Both Brad and I got range work to do with new barrels before we get there. It's not looking good considering the 10-14" forecast on Sun /Mon.. :'( :'( :'(

Even if the forecast was to be wrong, there is still the fact it almost takes a tractor to get to a range/bench.. ::) ::)

Got three inches of slop today, and looks like we're going to get a nice gift from ND on Sunday night...thanks for sending that my way Rod

I hear ya rod, I still have to get my load worked out too . Good luck

Also glad to hear it is still on, I was wondering.

Re: Minnesota Wind Clinic and Spring Match

Plowed off the 600 yard firing line this morning. I might turn on the underground sprinklers just to hurry things along, but barring any new snow in the next week, we should be fine.

Re: Minnesota Wind Clinic and Spring Match

A little snow overnight, but rained all day. Pits are clear, I will check the 600 yard line Monday afternoon and report back. We are midwesterners, we are not going to let a little snow or rain stop us from starting the season off with a bang!

got that right!

Re: Minnesota Wind Clinic and Spring Match

The 600 yard line was starting to show a little grass yesterday. It should be ready for shooting mats by this weekend. Some notes for guys showing up:

The line will be wet...maybe bring a tarp for under your mat.

Bring warm clothes, temps will be in the 40's or low 50's. Wind will make it cool.

See y'all there. 8)

Re: Minnesota Wind Clinic and Spring Match

40S and 50s? Be nice to be in some of that warmer weather

Re: Minnesota Wind Clinic and Spring Match **Cancelled due to snow!!

I am sorry to say, I have cancelled the clinic and match. 6-8" of snow is expected Friday and rain on Sunday. We are going to try to reschedule later in the year.
Thanks,
Scott
