The Elk River Sportsman's Club in Elk River, MN is hosting 3 nights of NRA Approved MRP/F-Class matches prior to the MN State MR Championship. 40 shots for record per night. Attend all 3 nights and you will earn your temporary classification before the big match! Attend a night or two to warm up and find out why ERSC is a tough range to shoot at.

39 shooters the first night of the three week NRA Approved match. About 30 had no NRA classification and had not shot in a formal match before! They were regular league shooters, but new to official match play. The night was great fun!

That is a really good idea. We might have to try that if you don't mind us borrowing. You are definitely on to something with this.

You are welcome to borrow the idea. I don't know how we I came up with it other than new shooters asking how to get a classification. It works well with our summer league. The easier we can get new shooters "successful", more will stick with the sport.
