Elk River, MN Spring Clinic and 4 x 20 Match

Hey Shooters,
Spring is in the air! It is time to replace the snow shovel with the match rifles! Elk River Sportsman's Club is hosting its annual clinic and 600 yard match April 18-19th. April 18th will be a morning F-Class match shooting clinic in the classroom followed by a day on the range shooting from both 300 and 600 yards away.

F-TR and Open shooters will have separate groups for the classroom and on the range during the Saturday clinic. An informal match or two will follow the clinic. This will provide an excellent opportunity to get refined zeroes for Sunday's approved match.

I saw Remdog last night. I love the paint job but we need to find the guy some work! All he talks about is you and how much he misses you. I am going to give him some range jobs to occupy his mind. Small jobs....

How many rounds needed for Saturday?

Saturday will be probably 40 rounds or so. We will do some shooting at 300 yards first, then move back to 600 for the remainder of the day. We will work on all the topics needed to put up good scores.

We are planning on doing some ladder tests on Friday at 300, so come out and spend some time. Anyone else that wants to join in is welcome as well. Get an early read on how last years loads will work, or if changes need to be made.

Sorry shooters, but the rain looks very consistent for Sunday so I am calling the match.
No shooting on Sunday for the 4X20 at 600 yard. Good news is we had about 30 students
for the clinic today and all had a good time. We spent the afternoon at 600 yards and everyone
left happy.
