Down one node - Dasher

If your neck is .269" it's gonna be hard to create a false shoulder unless you necked it up first. Most loaded blue box brass measures around .268" and the old gold box .269".

the only problem i have had with false shoulder was 1 in 10 rounds would not fire. i was using CCI 450 magnum primers. i also had the thinner 400 cci primers. once i started using them and 30.5g varget they all formed great first time. i use km gear to turn the necks necks down to .011 down approximately the length of the finished dasher neck, i then jam the bullet .010 with both smk and berger hybrids. works ever time. in fact 30.5 varget with hybrids shoots lights out both fire forming and in formed dasher brass.

Keith, that seems like a very high velocity for 33.3 of RL-15, i'm 3030 at 34.0……. i had shot 33.9 to 34.1 all last year. jim
Jim I'm running 34.1 of Varget with 105's and I have no pressure. I believe its chamber jobs, my buddy can shoot the same load and both guns were done by the same smith with the same reamer.

Freebore is why he's getting so much velocity with the powder charge he is running....he's got a .104 freebore. I brought this up last time everyone thought I was stretching my velocity numbers. You don't have to stuff as much powder in the case to get the velocity with the shorter freebore.

My .104 freebores act the exact same velocity and charge weight wise as Keith's. I don't have problems with primer pockets though, but sounds like he might've had a carbon issue that could explain that.
