Does Anyone use Airguns on this Forum?

Yes. Benjamin Kratos PCP, gamo, and a browning leverage (xisico XS46U). While I'd like to see a sub forum here as this is the best gun forum period, airgunnation is pretty good.
Nice.
I think a dedicated airgun section would work. The sport is not going anywhere; it is burgeoning, and many serious shooters and optics guys have taken it up (Ilya Koshkin, Matt Dubber, etc.) Scope companies are well aware of it too. I am hoping some others like Leupold and Swarovski will get on board (10 yard parallax, and so on).

Yes, there are several of us. We are still trying to get a forum spot here.

I have an FX, and am waiting for my PTE 220 in 22 caliber to ship from the Netherlands.

With how bad the gun laws and ammo prices have become I put my powder burners up for a bit and have focused on benchrest pcp air rifles. Hoping to start a league in my area this year but with the cost of a good pcp rifle not a lot of guys are sold on the idea.

Top end pcp guns can be amazing as long as you have an air source which is also dependent on electricity. That's the easy button and it works. If you like the challenge of a new skill and only need your gun and a tin of pellets you will enjoy a Springer. Accuracy wise out to 50 yds a good springer and shooter will stick with a pcp. Difference is a pcp you can sit down and shoot it, just like a powder burner. Springer takes a litle patience and work . Is a springer a 50yd headshot on a gray squirrel, absolutely. They both beat the crazy direction the powder and bullet game is headed, that is it will not be a game for the average guy.

Okay. What was done to the discovery? I have two Marauders, one with a LW barrel, which was sold on another forum yesterday (only sold this because I bought an FX airgun and need to pay for it). The .22 with the Crosman barrel was my first airgun, bought in spring of 2021.

I definitely enjoy being able to shoot in my backyard.

Several years ago, I looked out my second-floor bedroom window, and a squirrel was sitting on my sunroom deck roof about twelve feet from me and just staring at me. (Now I do think one got in the bathroom wall and got trapped and died. The smell lasted way longer than it does when an mouse dies in the walls or attic, and my wife said the noises the critter made were way louder than mouse scratching.)

I thought: I need to get my .22 LR quickly. But it is illegal to do so unless your property line is 300 feet from any neighbor’s dwelling, and mine falls short of that.

When I bumped into airguns on YouTube one night, I couldn’t believe what was going on in the airgun world. My last handling of such things was a BB gun many years ago.

Thanks for listening.

I almost forgot to mention. Besides the Marauders (Benjamin) and FX, the other two companies I would be interested in are Daystate and possible Edgun.
Daystate makes some great airguns!

The Discos I mod have: 26" Maximus barrels that I recrown and polish the leade, magnum valves with HD screws (to allow 3000 psi fill) magnum hammers, power adjusters with springs up to .045 wire diameter, metal trigger kits installed with all contact points polished and a lighter trigger spring installed, Altaros pressure regulators, barrel band drilled and tapped for extra grub screws, TKO 22 moderators, Boyds stocks, long nose bolt probes with custom handles. Most of them are 22 cal. Some have multi-shot breeches installed.
By changing springs, hammer strike length, hammer preload and pressure regulator setting you can tune them to run 33.89 grain pellets at ~850 fps to 13.43 grainers at ~780 fps (or less). Here's a pic of one for example:

Do you do Marauders 25?

Yup, air rifle silhouette competitor here. Actually at an air rifle regional match in north Louisiana right now.
Great. I am actually not fully familiar with the particulars of the various disciplines. I hear a lot about bench rest (I know what that is, of course), and especially Field and Target.

Sounds nice, ISS.
What FX do you have? I am not familiar with the PTE 220. Maybe I am missing because of the abbreviation?

Raydee,
I was initially put off by the cost of some of the higher-end PCP rifles, but I bit eventually. It seems like a lot at first, but then, it happens. As they get more popular, perhaps exposure will enhance excitement and push some to cough up the cash.

Nice looking gun, by the way. The stock reminds me of the FX Crown laminate blue, which is discontinued, I believe.
And, I have shot with two sandbags, and more recently, with a front sandbag and a ST monopod. But your rest looks really stable and professional. Pardon my lingo, if it is incorrect, would you call that rest a sled? I like it. S7

I shoot air guns, pistol & rifle in the basement in winter.
I shoot in my basement during the winter too. This is one reason I need at least one good scope that parallaxes down to a true ten yards.

Okay. Do most--or many--springer uses affix moderators as nearly all PCP users do? S7

My RAW TM1000 .177 with my bucket & sticks I use for shooting out to 55 yards. It also does a great job of keeping the squirrel population in check.
Nice looking gun. I caught an Airgun Depot video comparing the Raw to one of the FX guns (I think it was a Dreamline), and that is the limit of my familiarity with it. S7

The only Marauder I have played with is my P-rod. It was kind of a wimp when I got it for cheap off eBay. It would only get 13.43 grain pellets to 630 fps. Did some valve work (larger ID outlet & lighter poppet valve spring), heavier hammer spring. larger ID transfer port & added a power adjuster. It now runs 18.13 grain pellets at max of 850 fps very accurately. I carry it to my treestand when deer hunting to gather groceries.

I started off years ago with an RWS 45 Diana. I got fairly well involved in IHMSA, off season was just killing my spring scores. I picked up an IZH46M to shoot during the off season, lots of time spent with it.
Fooling with Varmint rifles now and I wanted a rig for trigger time, along with saving on primer and powder. Picked up an FX Impact X for what I deemed a good price, Christmas present for my self.

Yeah the PCP may look spendy but set down with a sharp pencil and clean piece of paper, see what that REALLY cost across the board.
