I never thought I'd live to see a Western state pass such draconian laws. This is truly sad and alarming. The bill hasn't passed yet here in CO, but it will. It's an all out assault on gun owners here in CO. They are passing an assault weapons ban, more rules on conceal carry, taxes on ammo, increased fees for FFL's and a couple others. The state is now run by Demorats and they can pretty much do what they want. I used to think it couldn't happen here, well I was wrong! It can happen anywhere!
My understanding on the so call Assault Weapon in the bill is that it includes all semi-auto firearms. But it has to pass in the Senate and also the Govenor must sign it. Hopefully it will die at one or the other. The Colorado legislator had a hay-day recently.
Several gun related bills easily passed the house floor and are headed to the Colorado Senate.
I know one of the bills addressed locking up guns while in a motor vehicle and another was a ban on the sale of assault weapons, whatever that may be to those that penned the bill?

Over 30% in Oregon, according to my insurance agent. If you ever look at the breakdown of your automotive insurance bill (not just the cost of each policy), "uninsured motorist" is a significant portion.hmmm....
I bet you can't guess how many cars being driven around are by unlicensed and uninsured drivers. Just saying.
But what you don't have a number of is the folks that sold them off. Three locals shops were overrun with Semi Auto rifles of every maker and caliber when the BS SAFE happened. I know professional folk and prison guards who are serious gun guys that had NIB AR's, AK's, H&K's, Springfield M!A's and every other type of Semi Auto, almost everyone of them took time but almost all rolled over and either Registered them or sold them off to a Dealer in NY State, Vermont and New Hampshire.when they tried the registration of AR 15's in NYS they only got 3% to register.

This not aimed at criminals. This is yet another potential impediment to private firearms ownership by law abiding citizens. The anti-firearm elements in our society and government will run proposed law after law in order to continually test the 2A. It`s like water wearing down a rockHere we go again how many of the criminals, and or street thugs will have insurance on stolen or blackmarket weapons. Flippin criminals have more rights than law abiding citizens.
I'm done.
Have a great day!

Agree wholeheartedly! Proposing new laws makes for headlines and a big political splash. That`s doubly important during election periods. Got to pander to that base!I understand who this is aimed at. The law abiding citizen . Why dont they enforce the laws they have.?
Again, I'm done.!
No, this is about making Law Abiding Citizens into criminals. As an added bonus they bleed us dry in the courts fighting these rediculus laws. This not aimed at criminals.
