Deadbeat seller, beware

I don't know where to post this but here goes. I responded to an ad here by Matt6BR for some bullets. Here is the ad:

38 spec
FEDERAL Premium 2 boxes 100 125 NYCLAD HP P381 $15 a 100

Here is what I got:

I paid for 200 bullets and received 100 bullets. Once he finally responded to my messages here is what he said:

You know I've been really busy lately and I haven't had time to get back to anyone. Have some respect. I apologize for my error of the 100ct instead of 50ct.
Midway use to sell 20 bullets of the same make and type $19.99 before they got discontinued. If you do the math you made out.

The $8.99 price tags are still on the boxes man. You owe me either $15 or 100 bullets.

And his latest response:

They were $30 not $300. That $8.99 was an old *** price bullets have gone up in price now of days. This isn't the 80's anymore. I sell bergers bullets with there stick that is still on them and they say 50% less then what I sell them for. Out of 100 costumers only one has gave me trouble. If you want to buy more Ill throw in a box. But I'm done arguing here. You know you cant get these prices for those bullets or anything else I sell anywhere else.

I don't think it matters what year it is or what stuff cost back in the 80's. He offered them for 15/100 and delivered 15/50 but aparently that doesn't matter to him one bit.

What is a man to do?

You didn't get what you paid for in the advertisement. Unless a decimal point or blatant number is missing, an honest seller will eat his mistakes. I know I've had to bite down hard and eat a few of mine over the years. Use the feedback reporting system and explain why he's getting a .

When I read his listing there were several things I was interested in. My gut feeling was to not do business with him! Something just didn't seem right and glad I saved my time and money!!!

Never have been able to figure out why some put so little value on their integrity, word and morals. Fifteen bucks isn't much money if you are honest and is a fortune apparently to a liar and thief!

CLASSIFIEDS RULES

2. Loaded ammunition that has been loaded or reloaded by a private party (e.g. NOT factory-loaded ammo).

3. Hand-mixed powders of any kind, or powder of unknown origin/date/burn rate.

4. Any actions, rifles, or sound suppressors with damaged or obscured serial numbers.

5. Scopes with broken internals or broken lenses.

Commercial Ads
Commercial businesses which are current, paying sponsors may post Classifieds. These shall be posted in the "Commercial Sales" area ONLY. If you sell products commercially, and are NOT paying for advertising, you are NOT allowed to post Forum classifieds. Companies in violation will be black-balled.

I have shipped before being paid and others have done it for me. These are great people. It makes me sick that this has to happen. If he doesn't square up with you he should be banned.

I think posting this information was the best thing you could have done. These people need to be called out and not allowed to hide in the shadows. I for one remember posts like this and tend to steer clear of these sellers no matter how tempting their posts may be in the future. There are just too many GREAT people on this site to tolerate a seller without morals. I wish you luck with this guy and am thankful it wasn't more costly than it was.

Wow, cant believe someone would shaft a buyer over $15! I just added this guy to my "banned buyers/sellers list". If you update with his real name/addy, I will be adding that to my list as well. Sorry, but I have no use for such folks. Sorry about the bum deal, glad it was for small about of $$ though.

I had the same experience with Matt6BR. I purchased the following: Sierra 1330 bullets. $75 for the bullets plus $10 for shipping. Total is $85
USPO money order. Matthew Sartheim, 14620 madris ave, Norwalk CA 90650

Two of the boxes were a different bullet. Emailed and he said he would replace them with 2 boxes of Hornadays. Never got the replacement. The money wasn't so big but I don't think a guy should try and cheat you on this site.
