Finally got back out to the range. Been a couple months since my surgery. Well looks like i did way better than expected. 100 yards five 5 shot groups, 3 shots on the sighter includes cold clean bore shot. Largest group measured .744 outside to outside edge. This cz 457 mtr shoots lights out! Tested a strap on stock pack today to get a solid cheek weld, as i was expecting it helped me shoot tight groups at 100 yards. No more holding my head up hovering for a sight picture. To bad i cant use that in ARA factory class. I will shoot unlimited with it strapped on.

Thanks for this info. I shoot way better with a cheek rest. I will read into the rules

Had a good day 11 shooters on the line. I was able to shoot some 2500 factory scores and some 1900 scores on unlimited. Cz 457 mtr is a shooter . Looks like my recent injuries and break from shooting did not affect me. Happy about that.

I don't know how your target was hung but the high right miss killed your score. Also don't see any sighters?

Yes target was hung vertical and thats a high right. Still looks good to me as target still would have been a 2500 on a factory target. 1975 is killing it with a factory class rifle. I had a heck of a time trying to load pics yesterday nothing would send had to keep making them smaller and smaller. But here you go here is the ul plus a factory sighters were fired

Wow it was a very windy day at the match, 8 shooters on the line. Cz 457 mtr still hammering away. Wind was 10-20 mph. when i shot this target it was 14 to 20 mph. blowing stuff off the benches and blowing targets off the stands. Still managed to shoot my best target yet i believe.

The shooter and the rifle are both very accurate. And the the rifle even has very nice wood. You are doing great.

My MTR seems to be pretty accurate. But I don't think it can shoot that well. At least with me pulling the trigger. If I can continue to improve my skills enough to even close to what you have been doing I will be super happy.

Well had a pretty good match today shot my best scores yet 2500 6x on factory and a 2200 16x on unlimited with the cz 457 MTR this rifle is a freak of nature i am starting to believe.

Your rifle may be a freak if you shot a 2200 on the ARA Unlimited target! That's a lot more impressive than your 2500 6X with the Factory target. Well done!

Thank you. Yes my thought exactly on the unlimited trying to fathom the 16x on unlimited only did 6x on the factory. Pics will be posted up later, for some reason again pics wont post where i am at right now.

My CZ rifles like the Eley Match as well.
I have a case of the lot my guns like and use it sparingly.My Douglas barrel BR rifle shoots sub. 5 often enough with Mstch to be quite pleasing.

Nice always a great day blasting some rimfire. Had a few issues with eley match early on so the few bricks i have sit. All i shoot now is sk and lapua now.

We shot SK (in the gold boxes)when it was $7 a brick from our smallbore club in the late 80s or early 90s
Then wolf took it over and tripled the price!
We didn't know how good we had it!

I mainly use Eley Contact or CCI standard velocity for most of my 100-200 yd reactive target plinking and offhand practice.

I need to try SK long range someday.i hear it's good stuff.

Picked up a used MTR recently. Got a chance to shoot it before a storm rolled in on Mon. l stuck a 6.5-20 VX3 w/fine duplex on it. Using 3 of the 4 ammos from my 457 Royal test l noticed this MTR loves the Lapua Midas+. The 457 Royal hated the Midas.

The difference in X count is easily explained.
The Factory target has a much larger dot than the Unlimited target, and because it requires the dot be wiped-out for an X, that means the shot has to be closer to the center vs the smaller dot on the Unlimited.
It not only requires better accuracy, but also better precision to get an X on the Factory target.

You must have listened to me concerning the image quality in our PM because your target pics look a Hell of a lot better than the last analysis I did. I'll try to do another analysis, but I'm currently busy getting a new computer up and running while also preparing my taxes. It may or may not happen.

Had a nice shoot today. Not really sure how my scores keep improving but i will take it shot my best targets so far today. Cz 457 mtr is killing it. 2300 19x unlimited target and 2500 12x factory target. Guess my new goal is to see if i can clean a unlimited target some day.
