Cz 457 mtr eley match, center x, sk pistol match, sk rifle match

Are you attaching a bag rider on the forend so it fits the front bag like a glove?
Yes and i have 2 different rest seb neo and a neo x going to try a few differnt things today if it will shoot groups today. I will then know its a setup issue going one shot at a time. Also have a old front rest i am going to try a rock rest or something

I purchased my first bench rest a few months ago for my 22. After a little experimenting the groups shrank considerably vs the bipod. For me getting the forend fit tight, and using the BR adjustments to line up the reticle without contacting the rifle and then getting into postion with a light touch did the trick. Experimentation continues!

just got an adjustable rear rest from Killough's today, I am going to pair it with a Sinclair front and give it some testing tomorrow for factory class. Sure would be nice to leave the 60-odd pounds of front rest/rear bags at home

Yes i shot with front and a rear rest today. Tried a bunch of things. I could not get my rifle close to duplicating my tier one bipod and rear protector bag. I am sure if i played with it more i could figure it out. Takes 3 x as long to shoot a target for me also turning dials and useing the levers. But a few people wanted to see how i could do with their rest so i gave it a go. I shot groups and ARA targets. Groups had random fliers and heck i had a few zeros and 10 scores on ARA targets .still had fun tho.

I love the new rear rest, works great and with a SInclair F class bipod. My heavy rest and bags will be staying home with the factory rifles. I am curious how it will work with my centerfires.

Had a good day at the range, mild winds primarily from right/left then switching to left/right for a minute. I tried 4 different ammo's shooting a home made ARA practice target. It only has a 100 ring and a X to save printer ink. Scoring is if it touches the ring it is a 50. The SK PMS shot the best with a 2350 1 X. SK Biathlon, Semi Auto, and RWS Target Match all scored above 2200.

Here is the PMS target only 1 real flyer on target #23. Targets #17 and #25 were missed wind calls where I was not watching my flags and got the wind shift. I had zeroed dead center and was holding from 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock depending on the wind.

Nice shooting .sounds like your happy with your results with the new setup. I will be trying out the seb neo x rest and rear rest soon, i will also test neo x front with just the rear protector bag to see if that wil shoot close to what my bipod setup seems to shoot very easily. Seems like you have yours shooting pretty good on the elevation hold. With the rest i was not consistent anywhere left right low and high shots in groups and that transfered over to how it was scoring on ARA targets. Shooting my tested good ammo i was barely scoring what my bipod rear bag setup could shoot with junk bulk cci blazer ammo. So that is kinda a bummer for having to lug around all the extra weight and having to do way more adjusting to shoot with rest.

Shot my first match today with the new setup in Orangeburg, ended up with a 2325 agg. 1st and 2nd targets were shot with SK PMS, with 2300 and 2250. Seemed as if I was getting a lot of high and low shots from the PMS, so I switched to SK Biathlon and shot 2300 and 2450 for the last two targets.

So far my yearly agg was 2175 ish and my goal for the rest of the year is for 2300 + aggs so I accomplished that. I finished in 5th place but I am totally happy with my new rig and how it shot, great match all things considered.

Finally able to get back to the range and shoot the 22 precision match. Cz 457 still hammering away. Did a 60 shot string of my sk std plus ammo before the match that flat out shoots. Cant complain about those chrono numbers. Then i shot the match with my same old cci blazer ammo i was using almost a year ago still shooting about the same, scored 2300 on the cards still trying for a 2500 before i use up all i have. Not sure that will happen but i am getting close.Screenshot_20240511_172638_ShotView.jpg20240509_160658.jpg
