Had a nice shoot today. Not really sure how my scores keep improving but i will take it shot my best targets so far today. Cz 457 mtr is killing it. 2300 19x unlimited target and 2500 12x factory target. Guess my new goal is to see if i can clean a unlimited target some day.View attachment 1333677

That is some very fine shooting. Has to be the best shooting mtr that I’ve seen. Keep it up

Shooting my 457 MTR a couple days ago, I had my best group ever. Five shot group @ 100 yds. measured 0.5235“c to c. with SK Rifle Match. All four other groups were over an inch. Every once in a while a good group will suddenly appear for no other reason apparently, than the wind lays down.

I have some very nice 150 yard targets testing ammo. A crazy 100 yard target with 5 or 6 groups on it shot after i had surgery. Rimfire is weird sometimes you get groups that should not be real. I have shot half inch groups at 100 yards with chrono numbers all over the place that should have huge elevation at that distance but taget told a different story. Now i dont overthink anything i just shoot for fun. I know for me i hold my cz 457 mtr with a firm grip like my centerfire rifles. Seems to be consistent for me with the cast in the stock. So far anything lapua or sk branded shoots awesome in my setup.

Ironic that you mentioned your hold. I absolutely hated the original trigger. I have one now that was made by BSCAR and set just below 2oz. Everyone shoots different if thats working for you stick with it. I still have the factory trigger with a heavy pull weight. It breaks clean just heavy.

Occasionally if the sun is right shooting my 6x you can watch the bullets most of the way to a 50 target. Its a wonder they even hit the paper!

My daughter has the record factory ara target. Id love to see a picture of the one you shot, that would over double the current record x count

Well had a pretty good match today shot my best scores yet 2500 6x on factory and a 2200 16x on unlimited with the cz 457 MTR this rifle is a freak of nature i am starting to believe.

Nowhere does he say he set an ARA record. He shot an ARA target with a certain score, we all do that all the time in practice at home, in fun club matches etc. Plus there are two ARA records, one Indoor and one Outdoor.

He says at a match, so I assumed it was an ara match as he shot factory and unlimited. His 2500-6x would be the outdoor record if shot in a match

Not a ARA event but its ran the same way and by the same match director as the ARA event but it was just a fun day. Not to worried about records its my fun relaxing hobby. But the rifle flat out shoots

Nice looking good, i plan on doing some 200 and 300 yard groups, Soon with mine. Furthest i have shot paper is 150 yards with the MTR all are pretty tight on the target.
