Cz 457 mtr eley match, center x, sk pistol match, sk rifle match

I don’t understand the lube issue, lube must be on the case and is getting scraped off when the round is chambered.

I've shot thousands of rounds of Eley Match from dozens of lots in a 40x and a CZ 452 and never had anything like ROBARRC50 describes.

The lube on Lapua and SK is more oily and cleaner.

good shooting!
I just got into this and I've been getting quite a few shots in the upper right quadrant like 2 of your sighters, #16, 21 and 22 and I cant yet figure out if its wind or something I'm doing on my end.

I suspected it might be caused when I let the rifle free ride the bags and it was the cast in the stock. I havent figured it out yet.

I also need more practice moving the rifle from one target to the next on the sheet.

Nice work!
Yeah i am not sure i am just starting out in this 22 game. I think most of it is hold and setup. The benches at this range are very wobbly. Could be some of the rounds jumping around . I hold my rifle pretty tight. Yeah the way this rifle shoots groups it should clean the targets fairly consistently, but when i shoot the ara target moving each shot i believe it becomes the setup and shooter getting shakey. My stock has cast in it also...

O yeah the lube is all over the ammo and its thick i should have took a pic of the magazines also it was bad. I will not waste time wiping any off it can sit in the cabinet while i shoot up all the sk and lapua i have and Cci sv . Shot 300 rounds today i will pull bolt right now and take a pic and post it in a min

Good shooting, my only suggestion would be to get a competition fine cross hair scope with more power.

Yes they have plenty of cast, to much in my opinion, its not a deal breaker for me but CZ messed up with the cast, makes bench shooting a little tougher
I hold the rifle tight firm grip and into my shoulder seems to be the sweet spot for me. Scores go up everytime i shoot lately so thats a good thing. Thats off a ski type f class bipod and protektor rear bag.

I've experimented a little. I've let it free ride, gripped it tight, applied light shoulder pressure, heavy shoulder.. I've never used a bipod. I'll have to try one out sometime.
For me, I'm getting my best results by applying light shoulder to it. I'm thinking this is due to the cast in the stock

What model Annie is that ?

I'm using a Edgewood "the edge" front bag on my Randolph rest. I use a Edgewood Mini Gator rear bag. I'm having good success with this set-up. I only touch the trigger and the trigger guard. The front bag holds the rifle vertical with very little adjustment.

Thats a nice setup. Those shooting benchrs are awesome. The benches at my club you can touch with light finger preasure and it moves your reticle inches on the target at 50 yards

I believe that is the Manners stock ?
I've tried that method of 'pinching' the trigger and trigger guard with good success. Come to think of it, I dont know why I stopped. I think my thumb behind the trigger guard sort of acted like my shoulder pocket. preventing some recoil. Nice setup!

Yah, I’m lucky to have 3 rifle clubs within a half hour of my home. The one I settled on, the one that is in the picture, has 6 rimfire br matches a month. They also have some prone matches that I don’t attend. Our Monday afternoon br matches are mostly old guys like me. We usually have between 15 and 25 shooters. Oh, one of the Saturday matches per month is an ARA 4 card match. My shooting is going to be on hold, knee replacement on Wednesday.

I don’t have ARA near me, but I shoot the targets anyway. I’ve been kind of down on my MTR. My 457 Trainer out shoots it handily. Today however it did pretty good, albeit with a good lot of Center X.

Looking good nice set up. I am jealous of these shooting benches you guys have at your ranges. Target looks great just need to do that 4x in a row

Took the cz 457 MTR out this morning. First 5 rounds shot clean cold bore. This makes the 3rd trip out that the clean cold bore shot is with the group. I stopped shooting paper after these first 5 and started shooting steel. Did not want to spoil my mood lol. I included my factory test target also. It does no justice to how the rifle shoots. Have a case of sk rifle match on the way. I will post results of that ammo when i go back out next week.Screenshot_20210715-102026_Gallery.jpg20210715_102919.jpg

Well got my case of sk rifle match to test. Shipping was a little hard on them only lost 3 rounds out of 5k , i might even straighten them out some and fire a 3 round group just for fun. Hopefully this shoots better than sk std plus. Will post accuracy update tomorrow. 20210720_112314.jpg20210720_111807.jpg20210720_111323.jpg
