I hear you, ebb. I guess I hav a lot of ammo because things annoy me.
Empty brass lying on the ground at the range annoys me, so I pick it up.
Dirty range brass annoys me, so I clean it.
Empty clean brass in my shop annoys me, so I load it.

I remember going to a paint ball game, 20 years ago. I thought I was going to clear the woods of bad guys! I lasted 30 seconds in the first game. A 12 year old kid got me. I lasted about 2 minutes in the next one because I hid behind a log. The same dang kid hit me in the forehead of my helmet when I peaked over the log. I lasted the longest when I hid behind a big oak tree and peaked real quick to locate the enemy. Then I’d stick my gun around the tree and spray fire in their direction. I actually got a few of the enemy before that same dang kid snuck up behind me!
I learned a lot that day!

I was not saying not to own plenty of ammo, I have plenty myself. What I am saying is this is not the post apocalyptic world you have been warned about. Is that post apocalyptic world coming? I have no clue. Just like most things in life more is better. The preppers say buy it cheap and stack it deep.

Ammo here is something very simple, if a pallet of almost any ammo comes in it is gone by 5:00pm if not sooner. And if you ask anybody how much they have the answer is a "few", that can mean a few hundred to a few thousand or more.

I’ll call it this way. Trump wins and the left goes nuts. Biden wins . The Dems declare victory, announce their intention to remove the 2nd amendment and the right goes nuts. Forget the politics. Somebody will be going nuts!

What if it gets so bad with “people going nuts”, whoever is in charge declares Marshall Law? The National Guard takes over and starts gun confiscation like New Orleans after the hurricane? After all, that’s the only way to stop the shooting, right? I don’t think they’ll start confiscation in gangland. I think they’ll start with the country folk because they’re spread out and easy to out number. How do you think that’s going to go down?
Don’t forget, this election during Covid is a huge problem. Lots of “shady manipulation” could occur.

I was at bass pro this weekend and thought I would pick up a couple of boxes of buckshot. They had none. So when I got home I figured I would get on the internet and order some. Nobody has any. Don't really need any. Are there those out there hoarding buckshot like they did all the .22 rounds back in the Obama days?

Im like you- Im 63 and am not going to worry about this madmax stuff at all. I dont think much will change and if it does Ive allready lived most of my life. People say its taking 2 weeks to buy a gun because of backups in NICS. I just bought a rifle from Walmart the other day and walked out the door with it when the paperwork was done. It was on sale to. Their case was full. its interesting whats happening in other parts of the country. To me all this crazy buying is based on false premises- - so instead of buying some over priced stuff, I think ill sell some things for a price i wouldnt have been able to get not long ago. No components or ammunition though - i may need that stuff for a rainy day

We, and I'm including myself in that we, stock up on ammo like we will be able to sit at home and defend our turf with the lights and A/C running, we may think we are ready, but in reality very few of us are.

What do you think is really going to happen when they come for our guns? Are you going down in a blaze of glory, or are you comfortable with the lights and A/C?

Who do you think the real enemy is? The left? The liberal media? Just useful idiots to the ruling class, the same ruling class that owns the media outlets, and are so wealthy they can buy and sway public opinion and votes, they are our real enemy.
Like villains from a James Bond movie, they are not satisfied with unbelievable wealth, they desire absolute power, and to get it they have to disarm us and make us dependent, then dismantle our government and build one back that suits them.

I am not what you would call a Bible thumper, but I have a strong belief in God and I call myself a Christian, what I think this is all cooking down to is a battle between good and evil, and if it happens in my lifetime, I hope and pray that my strength and resolve are strong enough that I will stand with God on the side of good.

I'm mulling on parting with a few things myself as I have had several acquaintances ask if I might have anything for sale, but I'm like you, no ammo or components will be sold. I just need to lay my hands on some more 20ga.

used to be same as u on handgun purchases here but they did away with waiting period- now both here and neighboring state 4473 is all thats required- handguns gothrouth ffl. i have a few extra guns i could part with- thats about it.

Neither side of the aisle seems to have any concerns for our best interests and only seem interested in lining their pockets. The fact that they do not operate within their Constitutional authority and want to take away or limit our God given rights speaks volumes. The blatant disregard for enforcing laws only convenient to them and the protected interest groups is something I never thought I would see in my lifetime.
