Crazy world out there

How many times are we going to go through this? Surely the horders still have plenty from last time. All this home defense. Very doubtful you will ever need it unless you go out hunting trouble.

I wonder just how much ammo they think they will shoot up before someone shoots them. I know i won't last long. Too old for all that running and hiding.
A whole bunch of it is in us old guy’s closets or basements. We forgot we bought it or can’t find it so we buy more!:eek::eek:
The young guys wasted it on mag dumps to impress their buddies.;)

Send me any extra empties you have! I’ll buy’em from ya! I left my main cache of empties in De.:(;)
ya know, it's funny.... i had been a brass hound for years.... getting enough together from the local public range to make the trip to the scrap yard 'very' profitable. then the recession hit and the bottom dropped out of the prices... so i sat on it....

hahahahaha......

now if i can just figure how to reuse primers.

Lot of first time buyers out there. All the gun shops in my area are way down on inventory. Some ammo gone. 9mm especially. Did see a big batch of steal cased 5.56 crap at the shop where I buy reloading gear. Stumbled across an 8lb keg of 4831sc while there. First one of those I've seen in at least 6 months. I'm hearing stories about first time buyers being shocked at having to wait to get their guns here in WA. Well you voted for it ya dumb sons-a-bitches.

It is time for those of us with a half a brain to stand up and say this is enough. We have sat passively by and let BLM and Antifa take over the Country. All the hoaxes have been nothing but a dress rehearsal to see how easily and how far they could push us..... and It Was A Long Easy Way! The Dems are terrified, they want the power but can't control the mob!

A lot of those wheelweights now contain zinc, so be careful. If I remember right, zinc increases surface tension of the molten alloy and ruins it's castability. Only takes one part zinc in 10,000 lead from what I remember reading in Lee's Modern Reloading.
Gotta be a way though , those wheel weights are cast.

Dam Josh your scaring me just kiddin but not really lol

Ok! I’ll explain.
I’m not going militant. I am a little worried. I usually plan for the worst but hope for the best.
Back in Delaware, I usually kept at least 3000 rounds of 223 loaded up. If I took 3 or 4 friends and kids to the range, 500 rounds would disappear in a day. When I had more than 1000 empties, I’d take a day and reload them. When I moved down here to Texas, I left most of my empties in the shop, figuring I’d deal with them when I got back. Splitting Camps, as it was, I brought 500 empties and a thousand round brick with me.
So, here I sit with all this going on and I’m feeling a little under prepared. Now, maybe these Texan’s talk and attitudes are affecting my thinking. A LOT of them are fed up and angry. I hope like hell it all calms down, but..........

true that I hope cooler heads rise up

Me too

I own quite a few guns. Never have I bought one with personal defense in mind. I'm sure some of mine would be effective at that. But I am not 65 years old and never have I been in a position where i needed a gun to defend myself. Guess things could change but i doubt it. Use a little common sense and don't be where you shouldn't be.
exactly I try to stay at home as much as possible

I’m thinking about selling an FN FS 2000. It’s a cool little semi 223, but I found a problem and, I think, the reason they discontinued it. If you get a jambed round, you’ll have to call a ten minute truce to clear it. Sometimes you have to take it apart to clear the gun.:(
