I was at bass pro this weekend and thought I would pick up a couple of boxes of buckshot. They had none. So when I got home I figured I would get on the internet and order some. Nobody has any. Don't really need any. Are there those out there hoarding buckshot like they did all the .22 rounds back in the Obama days?

I'm hearing the same thing down South Bro. Must be something to it. Lot's of my friends are frantically stocking up on ammo and buying more guns as well.

I'm in a more rural part of the state, but people are stocking up!
Fishing gear is getting pretty picked through too.

Same thing here in western NY gun shops running out of everything. People scared of whats coming. 57 members of the Buffalo Police CERT team resigned. I guess they had enough of the crap.

You may want to consider Casting Your Own round balls. - Lee has round ball Molds pretty cheap and then you also have the opportunity to cast the alloy to your desired hardness. - I personally like a 3 Ball (.600 dia. using the correct plastic wad - Each ball weighing in at 330 gr.) Load that I learned how to do from James Gates of the old Dixie Slugs (Old Town, Fla.) - Kills deer & Hogs at 80+ yards with authority in a 12 ga. 3" mag load.

All this outrage over statistically few bad incidents defunding the police having them walk out or resign will only hurt the people how long will it take for them to see how bad they are screwing up how many other people will have to die because of no law-enforcement. I'm glad I stocked up before the hoarding began. If Biden is somehow credited with winning the election things are going to get ugly. The shortages we're seeing now are nothing compared to that scenario.

We have 3 Walmarts and a Big 5 and there are no lead sinkers for fishing, none, zero. Maybe antifa bought them as shrapnel ?? Or do all our sinkers come from china now and there's a delay from corona ? Yes, the ammo is in short supply but the only thing I buy there is shells for skeet/sporting.

Time to buya mold and make your own go by the local tire store see what kind of deal you can work out on there no good wheel weights

A lot of those wheelweights now contain zinc, so be careful. If I remember right, zinc increases surface tension of the molten alloy and ruins it's castability. Only takes one part zinc in 10,000 lead from what I remember reading in Lee's Modern Reloading.

My buddy is an FFL and did a transfer the other day while I was with him, if I remember right there were over 2,000 checks in progress. He ultimately told the guy it could literally be days before it cleared. He said even on a weekday with a couple hundred checks in progress it was taking half a day. He's having to hold guns and send people home and then call them in later to finish. Just crazy.
