That would not be too interesting. I started getting interested in accuracy on my own pretty young. I didnt know anyone that was into it really I just kind of got into it on my own. It was mechanical so I liked it. Bedded my first stock at 14, probably read a book on it I cant remember. I stated shooting at Manatees 1000 yd range, they held group matches back then. Obviously you learn a little from everyone your around, but I never had a mentor. I kind of like working things out on my own.Very good interview. What is missing from my perspective is Alex's history- how and when did he start competing, how did he end up in gunsmithing, who was his mentor. Glueing in the action part vs bedding/pillar stuff very interesting.
No, only one of them is wound.Great interview. I notice that Alex might have a broken spring on that overhead garage door.
I think that Erik’s interviews with Speedy and the one with Bart is really top notch info.I enjoyed it thoroughly. I have lost count of how many of Erik's interviews I have watched, and this one definitely ranks at the top. Thank you both for your time and for sharing the information.
Alex
The scope testing got me too. I've searched and can't find that video.
Thanks. I had found that one.
IN MY OPINION, the only Long Range Competition scopes worth buying, are those with “LIFETIME”, “TRANSFERABLE“ Warranties. From limited observation, sooner or later, they all need to go backI bought a used NF competition in here and now question if it is good to go or not. Someone should offer the service of going through them and checking for that.
