Cortina - Wheeler Interview

I bought a used NF competition in here and now question if it is good to go or not. Someone should offer the service of going through them and checking for that.
I bought a brand new one and it wouldn't hold zero. I sent it back and haven't really gotten to use it since I got it back. I'll get some time on it the next couple of months and see what happens....

That would not be too interesting. I started getting interested in accuracy on my own pretty young. I didnt know anyone that was into it really I just kind of got into it on my own. It was mechanical so I liked it. Bedded my first stock at 14, probably read a book on it I cant remember. I stated shooting at Manatees 1000 yd range, they held group matches back then. Obviously you learn a little from everyone your around, but I never had a mentor. I kind of like working things out on my own.
Alex, you mention plywood stocks in the video. Who is making these plywood stocks?

IN MY OPINION, the only Long Range Competition scopes worth buying, are those with “LIFETIME”, “TRANSFERABLE“ Warranties. From limited observation, sooner or later, they all need to go back :(
Buy a March. A little bit more money but worth every penny. Switched 2 years ago and not looking back. Highly satisfied.

I heard that to send a March back for repair it takes awhile to get it there and back and expensive to ship and insure on your dime ? Rather keep it here in the states.
I sent one back and it was a year. Kelblys was the dealer back then. Maybe theres better service now who knows. Its tough to see that much money gone after the first match it was in and not seeing it again in so long i forgot i had it.

Great interview. Erik has the best forum and most useful content of any site right now. It’s really growing. Inexpensive to join. The classified ad section is growing. Highly recommended.

Jackie.....I know you mainly just deal in the steel end of vessel
repairs but some time back, A friend of mine had made several
cross bow stocks from marine grade mahogany plywood. His
supply was the upper end of a transom, from an abandoned
cabin cruiser.
