The very exclusive private school, in Bethesda, Md., where Al Gore's, Joe Biden's, David Gregory's and Obama's children attend class, has 11 armed guards on duty every day during school hours. These are not the US Secret Service detail assigned to the president's children but, private armed guards to protect the students of that school. I guess LaPierre's suggestion to place armed guards in all schools is OK for the "Big Wheels"kids but not OK for us regular folks.

Right on Eddie! This is the major point that the MSM misses. You want guns illegal? Fine, take them from EVERYONE, police, Secret Service, EVERYONE.

We have given up on " all men are created equal.." We allow the elite to play by different rules. That has to stop.

Most EVERYBODY in Israel routinely carry weapons!

For all the "gun control" spoken of in other countries it seems there's no end of access to even full-auto stuff pretty much anywhere by bad guys....

No, I don't believe they MISS it, they just conveniently choose to IGNORE it... while their executives (some of whom have their own armed security!) & many other staffers send their kids to schools that have armed security.

That was not a teacher carrying a gun. That happens to be a shomer (armed guard) which all schools in Israel have. The properties at all schools are fenced in also. Teachers in Israel DO NOT carry guns into the classrooms.

Israel also has much stricter gun laws than we have here in the US.

I would guess there are some carrying a Desert Eagle ;D
They can carry concealed or open in Israel, but their license laws are pretty strict. They have to pass a demanding background check to include health, mental and criminal records checks. They also have to re-apply and re-qualify every three years. Licensed owners are also limited to a small amount of ammunition which has to be accounted for.

A few days ago I was wondering what has happened, what has changed. When I was in school we never heard of shootings like what we have seen recently. In the 50’s there was a high percentage of homes with guns. This is quite a list and I think it points to the cause of these events.

In our country, the President's executive power is far reaching. Our Constitution gives him/her that power. Though the use of executive order was designed to be used during an emergency, it has been used for non emergencies. As for the 2nd Amendment, the President MIGHT be able to force some type of changes, but can not overrule it.

guys we under attack by our own goverment. we need to do all we can. we could loose our gun rights or be forced to pay taxes or insurance on them. everyone who own a gun or is pro gun or even if you are againest guns but are smart enough to know that baning firearms or punishing law abidiing citizens is not going to stop the problems with a distraught society. you should go here and sign the petitions, tell every one to sign..at least it is doing something that can be seen.

Agreed, its something. I just signed up for that petition page myself moments before reading this. Waiting for the reply email to come through to make it official. Naturally theres an aversion to signing up for a White House petition page during an administration that is not favorable to our rights. Get over it folks, they have your number already. You'll never change this administrations mind through debate once they've set course. If they smell too much dissention in the air they may just change their minds themselves before rendering an opinion, if only slightly.
