It's about control, not just gun control. I'm sure that there are those who actually believe taking our guns will help, but many elitists just want to eliminate the voice of the average citizen. When this happens, they can swiftly push their agenda without fear of rebellion.

They are just making us safe from crime,what is wrong with you guys? All kidding aside here in new york this well thought out plan got the police at 7 rounds only.Do you think they would get prosecuted if caught with 8 rounds? Enough is enough ,we have to support each other and show them their statistics are made up and demand for the recall of any politician that asks honest citizens to give up their firearms.

They want to try and take them because they know there will be no utopian socialist oligarchy as long as "We the People" own them. As Ryanjay said, its definately all about "kontrol". And sorry to say I don't like to be controlled. They hate free thinking independant citizens of this Republic who can actually make things happen as did our Founding Fathers and the 3% who did the bulk of the heavy lifting from 1774-1787.

I can assure you that this site does not support the efforts of the gun-grabbers. However, for reasons that have been explained numerous times, this is not a political Forum. There are many other venues where political issues can be discussed ad nauseum. But Forum members have overwhelmingly asked the moderators to keep the forum civil and don't let political posts overwhelm the board.

I was at SHOT Show this week. A couple dozen guys came up and mentioned they were on the Forum. What I heard over and over again was "Keep up the good work -- and keep the political rants off the Forum."

Being civil is easy when we agree with someone. The challenge is being civil when we disagree with someone. Speaking for myself that is like I would like to see. Thanks Ray
