I will tell you this RJS if they get my Ar's I will almost nothing left and I will fight tooth and nail so that they take your sniper rifles also.

Nothing is free and everything costs. As a owner of firearms you need to be standing with us as one group.

Never been in the military, eh Jim See? Good luck ::)

BTW Jim, the neighborhood in which I live is primarily military out of Camp Pendleton. Both active and retired. You have no clue as to what you are saying. When it comes down to who stands with whom, you will find the retired and inactive standing shoulder to shoulder with their brothers in active duty.

JRS you seem to be a highfalutin know it all I'm sure you fit in well with those retired officers who, 1. couldn't fight there way out of a paper bag, and 2. sure would side with the military complex, only way they would stay out of the line of fire. Me I delve in with the grunts and some SF guys, you don't have a clue where they stand.

We all know where you stand, good luck my friend.

It's my belief, as far as compromising goes, that once you open that door it usually gets kicked wide open.

I hate to see us fussing back and forth about who makes money off of what, I know that's others opinion and that's their right. I think this is a horrible thing that has happened but this is exactly what a person opposing guns would love to read. A gun forum argueing amongst ourselves.

Don't mean to step on any toes I just think now is a time for unity not being devided.

I was in law enforcement for thirty years. Diane's involvement in the "shoot/don't shoot" scenario in this video was disingenuous. Not knowing what might jump out of the back of that truck, she would have had a weapon drawn and ready. When the bad guy has the drop on you, you're a goner regardless of how much tactical weapons training you've had.

I've just heard a rumor that Texas is talking about allowing CCW for the school faculty for those that wish to carry in Texas schools and telling the Feds to take a hike.

Can anyone confirm that rumor? Or has anyone else heard the same?

One more thing....the 2nd amendment was NOT made for hunting and sport shooting......or even anything remotely like that. Most of you already KNOW this. Some seem to disagree with this concept and would declare you as mentally incompetent.....see the slippery slope yet? You feel your government is becoming intrusive?.....you must be paranoid! You are mentally incompetent!........... Sliding a little farther!!!!

It was recognized by the founders as a God given right individually to protect us from OUR OWN GOVERNMENT.......which for many of us is starting to look more and more like a reality.

PUNISH THE GUILTY NOT THE INNOCENT!!!

I just wonder if the time comes (hopefully it NEVER will) if we will unite or allow ourselves to be picked off one at a time.......

ONE MORE THING:

YOUR GOVERNMENT CANNOT KEEP YOU SAFE ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS!!!

IT'S A PROMISE THEY CANNOT KEEP!!!

I work for the county and have seen so much stuff get swept under the rug and whats fine for some is not for others that i am sick to my stomach over it. They get their foot in the door and it is all over. Their is alot that can be done without so much the public can do. I have had enough of feeling like i have to lie for them and do things i don't believe are right. My 1 foot is out the door right now with the left close behind as i almost can't sleep at night. Times may be tuff but i am looking for another job and i will find 1 even if it is a pay cut. You have to stand up in what you believe in or your no different than the cattle all herded together waiting to go to the slaughter house. If you don't stand up for your rights and beliefs you have nothing. Whats mine is mine and you will have to pry it out of my dead cold fingers.

Our society has gone mad. Let's be honest here:

It is a woman's right to execute her unborn child because it is just too inconvenient to deal with the consequences of one's own actions. Just ask the courts.

That isn't the problem here, the problem is that we, as a nation, have been desensitized to the daily murder of innocent children. We have been told that we cannot hold our personal ideals and morals up in the light of day because they are the same as Christian beliefs. We are told that it is not our right to speak freely about the disassociation of our society from the natural law. It is now all but a crime to not let a member of one protected group or another do as they wish, regardless of the harm they cause.

That really isn't my big issue - just a bunny trail I headed down. I have a question for the people on this forum. I have thought long and hard on this issue. This is not a new one to me - I've had training in this arena and have a solid grasp on the realities associated with what I ask.

If you were walking through the local mall with your family and heard shots echo down the corridor - what would you do?

Let me break this down:

In that scenario, what if you legally possessed a concealed firearm?

What if all you had was a folding knife?

What if you were totally unarmed?

We had a mall shooting recently not far from my home in Oregon. Two men (that we know of) acted. Neither one fired a shot - heck, one was unarmed.

I already know the answer to my questions. It is just hard for people to understand the responsibility that each and every one of us carries in watching out for the people around us. I would risk my life, my freedom, and everything I have and will ever have to protect the life of someone who would rather see me disarmed. That is the responsibility that we each carry as members of a "well regulated militia." Membership in that "militia" is not a matter of having arms, instead, the founding fathers expected it of every citizen.

Color me stupid, but I would take a knife into a gun fight if it would save one life. It is now time to start asking the men around you what would they do. Many people today have never considered that they could be called upon by circumstance to lay their life down. Who would not lay down their own life for their child? I know of some, but they are the exception. Who would lay down their life for their own child but not a friend's child? What about a stranger's child?

I have a little secret I'm going to share with you all. Regardless of how one would react to the scenario above, they are going to die. Whether I ever have to face off against another person or not, I'm going to die. It is just a matter of when and how. I can hope for a painless death at a ripe old age having selfishly tried to live all the life I could, but that isn't any more, or less appealing of a way to die.

Careful, you might be thinking like me...

It is time for us, as a group of American citizens (not as a political party, gun rights group, or religious group) to start the conversation that will yield a better society. We need to start driving change with young and old alike. We need to start popping the narcissistic, hedonistic, little bubbles that so many people in our so-called society are trapped in. It is time for reality to reappear as the driving force in or lives instead of just doing as we are told and going along to get along.

It is no small irony that the political party that has made killing millions of children prior to birth a pillar of their platform expresses such indignation when a sociopath places so little value on life that he murders children. Of course, it's easier to kill children who are faceless -- and I am certain that in the eyes of the sociopathic killer in Newtown, his victims also had no faces.

It was reported on the local news, out of OKC (channel 9), that the OK legislature will be considering allowing properly trained teachers and administrators to be armed while on school property (currently "Gun Free Zones"). We'll see what happens. As a "rural" state, firearms ownership is the norm, here. We are a very "gun friendly" state, to begin with.

Great post, and i am with you brother!

ipersonally think if you get carried away & start taking too much freedoms from americans you will definately create more tim mcveys the goverment needs to be reminded everyonce in a while who works for whom i think if it comes to it they will certainly take some weapons but i also think it probably would be way too costly just my thoughts regards shooter63 but we do not need to be divided on our basic beliefs ive shut up .

Personally, I think everyone here needs to cut JRS some slack. He's clearly suffered a loss that's incomprehensible to anyone who has never experienced something of that nature, and I fully understand his response. I may still disagree with him, but keep it respectful, huh?

I can understand Jrs as i just buried my only brother 10 years older than i in Feb. of this year. He had cancer and was doing well until someone or some people caved is skull in with an object to take his meds. Left him to crawl around and pass out and bleed to death. He was not a firearm owner and wished that at 1 time had bought him a pistol for a present....maybe he would still be here. I am not going to stand by and let my rights be stripped and be a victim. As far as criminals go that due such wicked crimes.......well their needs to be no trial and waste tax payers money PERIOD. They never found or have a clue to who it was and probally never will.

But wait....wait!! I'd like to ask this question:

What about the near 50 MILLION innocents we've aborted??? For a nation and a world so upset about this shooting tragedy of little innocents.....aren't these 50 MILLION kids that were slaughtered a tragedy and innocents also?? Or are they just something that can be put out of mind because we never saw them....as the cute little boys and girls that could have been were not a pair of surgical scissors driven into the base of some their skulls as done in partial birth abortions???

We're a nation of FRIGGIN NUTS.....no question about it! Millions of $$$$ are taken up for the care of dogs and cats and in a helluva lot of instances we take better care of four legged animals than we do our children!! I'm never amazed at the degree of stupidity that exists in this country!! :-[ :-\ ::)

YES

+1 bro...

There are larger forces at work to create mass hardcore mind control on this level... Hard core evil. Do you realize what kind of hard core mind control it takes to convince young women to KILL THEIR OWN BABIES??? I mean if you don't believe you are being hypnotized to do evil and wicked things, there is that one simple example....

LET THAT SINK IN BROTHERS!!!!

We as a nation have convinced ourselves that we need to invade the entire Middle East, Africa, Asia??? In the name of fighting terrorist groups we created??? What's next???

Send our children to die and get blown to pieces for what???? Oil corporations and neo con lunatics??? That's who.... WAR IS BIG BUSINESS!!! It's for profit...

Wake up. I beg you.

I'm almost 74 and i feel the real problem is the Parents or the lack of. Mom always said respect you get two ways love & Fear. Tough love was taken away when it was wrong to paddle, there went the fear. We all wanted our children to have more then we did. Tough love and fear takes two parents. Respect isn't given its learned and taught. Now we now have hope and change, that's liberal thinking.
When I did wrong I had to deal both parents, along with the belt or the yard stick, plus all privelges were taken way but not just for one day. Wrong was always wrong and never was tolerated. Today they say no and never mean it or too damn lazy to deal with it. My wife and I have passed on to our children the same. Some how they all have found mates with the same ideas. 10yrs ago my oldest daughter came to me with a big hug and tears and said Thank you Dad, I thought you was the meanest man in the world I never would of been what I'm without you. Goes to show most of the time it's not bad kids it's bad parents. The biggest thing we can pass on is being good parents and our values. Guns don't kill, people kill. Hope to me, means I'm too lazy to care or do anything about it, let the government do it. Illegal is the same black or white no gray, it's like being pregnant either you are or your not. Killing someone is illegal no matter how its done regardless the means. Gun's clip types has no bearing on it. So, most of the problem all goes back to the parents or lack of, you only learn from what your taught. Liberal ideas bring liberal answers, I see that they sure don't work. Here in Florida we have gun laws. We have 5, 10, 15 or 20 liberal judges and courts. That don't invoke the rules and never change anything. The fix is: Get off our lazy asses and fix the problem. When a liberals tells you something wrong and you know it's wrong. Stand up and say "NO". Trust me, Love & Fear works. Respect others and yourself - problem solved. Good Shooting Larry

God bless you Larry, you sound just like my Dad God rest his soul. We need more great men like you in this world. The way you raised your kids is how I was raised and is how I'm raising mine. I love them and they know it, but they also know when the bear growles the bullshit stops.

! Seems covering the death of our Soldiers whom by the way are 'our children' also or the return of the living whom offered to fight and or die for our country have little 'worthiness' in the eyes of the left and media!!!

Interesting huh?

I wonder if they did show that stuff on CNN on the constant loop... Showing these kids with their legs and arms blown off... On psychotropic meds, drinking until they cant see straight, scarred mentally and physically...

If we would still be in these "wars"...

Hmmmm...

I guess war is good now.... Rah rah
