Bullets.com Open for Business -- Powder, Primers, Bullets, and 1000s of Products

Keep in mind the Gov't says there is no inflation. Commodities prices are low so that's not the problem. So why are prices going up? Think about it. My thoughts are taxes, hidden taxes. No matter who says what, it is the people who pay taxes. All taxes are included in the price of anything you purchase. For example, all corportations must include in the prices they charge the taxes they are going to have to pay. If taxes go up, prices go up. If the gov't closes up loop holes granted corporations, then they must charge more to make things even. But, keep in mind, it is our own fault. We the people sit back and let the gov't do it to us. Some corporate salaries are out of sight and share holders sit back and let it happen. So, in the end, we the people sit back and let all this happen to u so we are really the blame for all that's happening. Yes, some of us would like to do something about it but we are out numbered by those who don't want to take any responsibility to do anything about it. That's my two cents.

Agreed, Figure government burden in every transaction one does to make a product. You have trucking paying there Highway use tax along with fuel cost sporting a dollar of tax these days not to mention there looking at the black boxes and a highway use tax for all vehicles..EPA has there hand in more then they should pushing companies over seas or out of business. Now you got the IRS running Obamacare, I'm sure they won't use Healthcare to strong arm individuals or businesses..The guy that makes it has to pay his taxes, The guy that ships it has to pay his taxes, The guy that distributes it has to pay them and the retailer pays taxes on anything he makes..Don't forget you pay your sales tax in many states, Hell half your cost is government burden I bet.

Then you die, your family has to sell the business to pay the death tax.

The comment about being more efficient than the government website for Obamacare is incorrect. I ordered five lbs of H4895 and checked the purchase icon on the website agreeing to the price of $xx.xx per pound. I received an email telling me the total was $XXX.XX which included two hazmat charges for one single order of powder. I replied that I disagreed with the total and asked for a corrected invoice. I then received an invoice saying because of demand my order now could only include two lbs of H4895 at a price of 28% higher than originally agreed upon. I cancelled the order.

I don't care how bad it gets I refuse to pay $ 127 for two pounds of powder.

The web sight says that berger hybrid 105s are 33.99 but when you put them in your cart it's 39.99??? Can anyone clear this up for me

If you guys are having trouble with pricing, I suggest you click on the product description before placing any item in the cart. That appears to reveal the current price. I just confirmed this with Bullets.com tech support. The pages with multiple small photos of multiple products (in a category) may not always be correct. Programmers are working on the fix right now. Keep in mind the site has been live for only 24 hours.

Additionally, if you have questions, there is live help via bullets.com live chat. I did that and a person came on in under 20 seconds. You can also call the site 800 number. Shiraz and his crew are working hard to get the bugs out. The reality is that Bullets.com gives us one more option in addition to other vendors.

You are correct. One place on their site it says 33.99 and on another place it says 39.99 and when it is added to your cart it shows 39.99. I called their telephone number and the customer service representative checked with a supervisor and said the 39.99 was correct.

Since the 33.99 is about what all the major internet dealers were charging when they last had them and they buy direct from Berger and Shiraz said in his posting that he had to go through a middle man just to get them for his inventory I guess it might make sense. I do know that I have not been able to find them anywhere else so I may have to as they say "Bite The Bullet" and pay that if I want to buy them now.

Thanks guys, I do need hybrid 105s. But berger said they will have a lot out by the end of November. I'm gonna wait and get them at powder valley. 40 bucks is a lot compared to everybody else. I would have paid the 33 however

I looked this morning and a box of Lapau 6.5x284 was $149..now it's showing $129... Afterlooking this morning, and seeing all the high prices, was wondering...but now, seeing that Shiraz is working out the pricing issues, hats off.

***Post edited after Shiraz responced below with regards to getting the website lined out...It's nice to see another retail selling things at a fair price is this tumbled market...

There is also "live chat" on our website and so when you have pricing discrepancies or need to ask technical questions, just chat with someone live via the keyboard.

Pricing issues are being worked out not because of "heat" but more corrective in nature because of the new website and sheer number of products that were launched. There was a guy complaining yesterday about the 215 Hybrids being about a buck a piece. Turns out that the box qty was wrong and the price should have been half, which it was corrected, hopefully, today. Not everything we buy is from a middleman.

The good thing is that each of you have the power of the internet search and can check out the lowest price, availability or the company you like doing business with and order accordingly. Bear with us while we sort through the issues. The good thing is that sales are very strong. We are running out of product on some items already, sometimes while others are trying to buy it on the site. Often guys are buying 1000 bullets at a time so stock gets depleted fast.

Shiraz,

I just placed an order for the 105 Hybrids that I have been wanting to try for some time but have not been able to find. The price was as listed at 33.99 per 100. I thought that very fair for an item that is currently being made of the rare raw material some of us know as unobtainium.

Also your tech person on chat named Mark was very helpful with a question I had regarding address editing.

You have my best wishes with this new venture and thank you for creating a place for guys like myself to shop when we need things we can't find!

And thanks Boss for telling us about it!

...very over-priced though.

You got that right. 100 pieces of Lapua 220 Russian brass at Bullets.com is $115 versus $87 at Bruno's.

Oops! Looks like the price dropped since this morning. Now $99.00

Moderator Note: $116.99 at MidwayUSA. $109.99 at Sinclair. $99.99 at Grafs.com. So you'll find different prices at different places. Buyers are free to decide as they choose, based on a variety of factors...

I will not point any fingers at the retailers, it has already been done, but the maufacturers are aware of the demand for their products and to believe that they will revert to the "old" prices to distributors you are in LA LA land. We will see a price stepup just as we see in gasoline during the Holiday season. I have bot 22 cal Sierra 50gr for 5.50 per 100, those days and those days of Last year are gone..Powder, bullets, brass and primers WILL increase in price, put yourself in the position of the manufacturer, ....my product(Manufacturer) is in great demand, stem that demand with graduated pricing until I push the envelope of production/demand. That is at the time a fair consumer price to demand ratio develops and as such that is where my pricing is determined. It seems that yesterday was always the good old days.

High demand.

Time for the manufactures to make more factories and hire people that need work.

A perfect opportunity to do so.

Earlier today I also noticed that the price was listed as 33.99 on one page and on another @ 39.99. I called Bullets.com on their 1-800 number and the representative and the supervisor she talked to must have checked into it and made the corrections because latter in the day it was shown as 33.95 on both pages and also on the checkout screen. I called them back and the sales person said that 33.95 was correct and if I wanted she could take my order at that time. So I did and I ordered 5 boxes of Berger 6mm 105 gr Hybrid @ 33.95 per box and shipping @ 9.95. By the way at that time they had 200 boxes in stock.

I do not think the price change was Bullet.com yielding to pressure from shooters but simply solving the problems involved in starting up a new web site with thousands of products involved. I think today was only their 2nd day since starting their internet store.

This has been a good day for me, I finally found these 105 Hybrids which nobody seems to have in stock except Bullets.com and at a good price and you may have read the thread I started today about "Thanking Berger" for the coupon I found in the box of Berger Hybrids I opened which is good for 3 free boxes of any Berger Bullets. Like I said before, I need to go buy a Lotto Ticket.

I know it's a small thing, but you may want to add page numbers to the bottom of the page so when you get there you can just go to the next one. Just a thought!
