BULLETS.COM Wrapping up!

Well, my experience was, rather unpleasant! I ordered 10 lb of powder, my cart was corrected to 6 lb, which I was ok with. Adding the shipping and hazmat fee the price per lb was good. A day later I get an e-mail confirming the shipping of my order of 2 lb, without being asked if it was ok at all. So I called to see why no one contacted me about this and was told I can't refuse the shipping, because they are no longer stocking this item and they may or may not do anything about it. So I bought 2 lb of powder and paid $30 in shipping and hazmat. I had no idea they were going out of business. Now I may have an idea why.

Tell us why because I'd like to hear another stupid response from another business expert after Shiraz told everyone what was going down.

You don't have to use insults!!! It is what happened. Calm down! I'm not a business expert! It is obvious! I got screwed!
What did he say? Let me guess: we will ship whatever to you, thanks for the money.

Well it's comments that were uncalled for (Now I may have an idea why) that pisses me off. The guy told you why he was going out of business and you have to make dumb comments about it like what you said. That guy forgot more about running business than both of will ever know. It just seems like certain people think it's so easy doing what he's doing and then when there is a blowout liquidation and somebody doesn't get their stuff they act like a whinny little kid that didn't get all their toys they asked for from Santa. You haven't learned yet in life that you don't always get what you want?

I get it! Now I'm ok with people lying and taking advantage of me.
If that was me, first I would have paid for it with a credit card, and second I would of did what you did calling them up and if they told you that you can't refuse the shipping, I would of told that person that if you ship it I'm just going to refuse it on this end and if they shipped it after you told them that anyway, when it got delivered I would have refused it and called my CC company and let them hash it out with the seller, end of story.

Well update. First order came in fine. 450$ then I got my act together and ordered 2200$ worth of bullets, one 8lb jug of powder and 2 bricks of 22, I had the grizzly guy on the phone for my lathe and asked him to check my order, errrr I don’t see it, call bullets.com. I called them, yes sir I see it right here, all in stock but they changed the “kit” to ship out of wash. Instead of miss., let me do some checking for you. 3 hours pass, call from miss. Yes I have your package processed, all in stock. Me- ma’am are you sure I placed this order 10 days ago and I know it’s been a frenzy, yes sir, oh hang on there is a note here.... item number ...., ...., ...., stop right there ma’am, y’all lost my order and filled other smaller orders first and now most of my stuff is out of stock! -Yes sir;- ok cancel my order, thank you, click.

The end.

Thanks for that! Tried calling but too late today, business hours 8am-8pm Eastern Time per the voice message.
I thought I'd put in my update also. After someone so kindly provided the phone # they no longer publish, I called the next day to inquire about my second order.
Turns out there was some sort of "discrepancy" with my CC billing address, so it was true, my order was just sitting there, put aside and not being worked. This was the same address and credit card info that is in my account and used for the first order, which they had already shipped and was about to arrive to me. She was not able to explain that one.
I repeated my address clearly, with syntax and punctuation, and then brought up with the lady that I was concerned that I would not get my items now since many of those items show as out of stock as of that morning. I was assured that she looked, and that I would get my full order. I was also told that now that it was straightened out, I would get my shipping notice within the next 2 days.
As of the end of the business day Friday (2 days) still no notice.

And one more status update for anyone else in the same boat.
My first order arrived on Thursday (different than the one in my post above). Part of the first order was several hundred Norma 223 brass, and instead of getting a box of 250 count, I got an extra box of 25 count! That's a price difference of $106.50 vs. $10.10.
So back I call again (next day from the last call). Different young lady regretfully informs me they no longer have stock of the 250 count, I tell her I would be happy to take 9 boxes of 25 count in lieu, that equals the same 225 brass I am missing. She is not able to authorize that but will have to have somebody call me back.
Still waiting ... :(

Just got a call from bullets.com that management changed their mind and rests that were on backordered and going to be stocked by grizzly is not going to happen. Nice to find out 2 months later after ordering. :(

Here's a fellow shooter who has had bad luck in his attempted business, has openly explained, on this forum, why he is closing the business and has offered attractive pricing on sell out items. Seems there are some members, as well as onlookers, that in an attempt to take advantage of this member/fellow shooters' bad fortune will "bitch" and "belly ache" relentlessly when they are not able to take advantage. Give this business a break and cease your bitchin!!!!!

I could buy that IF I had ordered AFTER the going out of business announcement but my orders was in before! Plus all the other items I ordered were out of stock now too. So that dog does not hunt.

Glad to get some nice deals on Redding dies today. 45LC/454 Casull & .221 Fireball.

Still trying to decide if I should get some “next gen” 6 Dasher brass with the thinner rim....I’ve got a few hundred of the “first gen” already, but the close-out price isn’t too bad.

Nice for Shiraz to come right out and tell it like it is, too.

Sorry to see a decent company to have to close their doors for a variety of reasons. But I really believe most folks don't understand the amount of "capital" and personnel it takes to run, maintain growth and to keep in step with competition. And now the liberal flavor of our country has started an attempt to SQUEEZE out an entire industry because the transgression of a few, is ruining the program for everyone, seller of guns, gun products as well as those of us who buy and utilize their products.

Just saw on the Daily Bulletin, that the American Federation of Teachers is giving Wells Fargo an "ULTIMATUM" to either stop funding the NRA and Gun Manufacturers or else face a boycott. Now that has to be one the most LAUGHABLE stunts any liberal group has tried to pull. The article in the Bulletin notes that some 20,000 AFT members have mortgages through Wells Fargo Bank, as if that was some HUGE number that seriously effects the business profits of Wells Fargo. Talk about the insignificant trying to make a splash on the Second Amendment. Anybody note that we see Teacher's Unions across the nation up in arms over poor pay for Teachers and then one of their "parent organizations" actually go out, tries and muscle out or limit an entire industry and the major Guns Rights Advocates (NRA), all because they believe they'll save lives and that guns owners and gun manufacturers bear responsibility when some IDIOT goes out and kills students, teachers and who know who else, using a gun. Of course these same folks wouldn't dare take on the Auto Industry that makes and sells cars that are responsible for a far far greater number of deaths every year than the number of gun related deaths combined regardless of the reason.

So yes I join in saying sorry to see Bullet.com fold, but for another reason. Liberals nationwide think deaths and shootings will suddenly stop and the gun related enthusiasts and the companies (that provides those folks with the tools to enjoy their sport) somehow have "blood on their hands" because gun were used by the loons in a horrible fashion. So believe what you want liberals and do whatever you think you must. But I also have the right to own my guns as do thousands of Americans around our nation as well as to vote against all you people who are so misguided and most likely couldn't find your azzes with a Search Party. And as for the American Federation of Teachers, you people should spend more time and effort in getting your Teachers a pay they deserve instead of playing politics and trying to limit or take away the rights of others. And what they seems to forget also, there are many many many more LAW ABIDING GUN OWNERS AND GUN BUSINESSES across our great nation, who follow and live by the law. And after 31+ years in Law Enforcement and seeing and investigating man at his worst, I can emphatically state that it is the diseased and evil mind that kills others, not guns. If there's a will, there's a way and no restrictive law will ever stop unnecessary killings.

Lastly, best of luck in the future to all the good folks who are or were at Bullets.com. Now it is in-combatant on all Gun Owners to support the NRA and remaining gun businesses and to send a clear message to all the WANNABE organizations, who believe guns kill people and gun owners are all nut cases and that somehow lives will be saved if we take away our rights to make, sell and own guns. Sad how the thinking and mental capacity of a great nation has declined.
