I've been reading many of fellow member posts...for some time now. There are some in this industry whose names continually come up. When I say "some", I mean more than one, two or sometimes 3 names are the pinnacle for what I would consider "their" product. Barrels I hear Barltein, Brux and Krieger. Stocks mainly McMillan & Cerus. Scopes often are Night force, Sightron and March. There are many other competition worthy products but you get the point. Of course when were looking for actions; Borden, Bat and Kelbly's are commonly ranked as high quality with attention to detail. I've decided to look into Borden for an F class build. It just so happens I'm within reasonable driving distance from their facility...just 3 hrs down the road
. I'm very much interested in their actions but I'm looking at this as an opportunity to meet what I would consider somewhat of a legend in our community. My question is: If you had my opportunity, what would you ask him? Maybe some good questions I can ask about his actions and I'm sure Mr. Borden has a lot of knowledge to share regarding the sport in general. I certainly don't want to waste his time and this isn't an interview but I would also like to use my time wisely. If there is a good point in our conversation to get clear answers I'll post them here. Thanks in advance.
