Borden/Kelbly FTR Rifle

I have run for a number of years Kelbly Panda F actions in Kelbly stocks for shooting FTR. I have a 1M and a KTS both with Panda Fs and Bix n Andy triggers. Both guns run 32" HV barrels and I'm currently putting a parallel into the KTS stocked gun.

I want to build another one. The dream is a Borden rimrock dual port into a Kelbly KTS. I have been told that Kelbly only offer a Rem inlet for their stocks and this won't suit the Borden BRM, it might however suit the mountaineer action. I like Bordens because of their superb timing, build quailty and the fact you can option a thicker lug to run Kelbly barrels.

I was wondering if any one has either a BRM dual port or a Mountaineer with a rail and lug that they know the weight of?

I'm aware I can email Jim Borden and Kelbly, but would like to hear opinions from the guys running their stuff. Cheers.

I run a Kelbly 1M for my FTR gun - Kelbly said "for BAT's we can only do a basic rem 700 cut"

I'd pick the 1M over the KTS - Not a fan of the cutout in the KTS stock

Contact Kelbly , I ordered a stock last year from them for a Borden BRM and it is partially inlet for the Borden diameter and square thick tang. The recoil lug is not cut and the trigger well isnt all the way through and doesn't seem to be cut far enough back but that should be able to be fixed.
It's also already cut for the trigger guard. You will need to do your own pillar holes and bolt handle relief.

If you zoom in on this one it gives you an idea but I can get better pics tomorrow if needed

Thanks for the pic. That's exactly what I wanted to know. The way I'm going to go.

My KTS doesn't have the butt hook in it.

Why not go with a bat? Its more mainstream and they will do that inlet in their stock
My mate runs Bat MBs for his open guns and another has a 3LL built into an FTR gun with a parrellel barrell. Whilst excellent quality, I think Borden's are superior with regards to their action timing when compared to Bats.
