Yep,...you don't even need a scope or sights on it, just pull the trigger, it will stack them all in one little .224 hole, every time all day long day in and day out, year in and year out, decade after decade, it cant miss even if you don't know how to shoot, it's so easy a cave man can do it! Bwahahahaha!!!!

Wayne,
Seems I've fired you up enough to follow me from forum to forum! Pumped a little life into those old veins didn't I?

Its heatin' up to jerry springer levels in here! Yeah, get after it boys! Hey Wayne, I'm pretty sure Iheard longfeather trash talkin your mamma ;D

Wayne, don't forget to take any 222s you have lying around to 1K comp this weekend. You should break all of tom, leo, and cody's records with a 222 ;)

PS: I love it when threads go south and the humor kicks in. Sometimes a lot better reading than the original subject :)

This thread, if anything, has been ENTERTAINING. ;D

Dgd6mm,
You've seen through the facade of the BS to reveal my intent! In reading the various forums it dawned on me what was missing (especially in the competition forum).

PS: Wayne and LH, I'll soon be posting the longest shot ever made. You're probably gonna challenge this one!...........Longfeather

Tom said Derek dropped the hammer on you folks this weekend. Sounds like there may be another top shooter emerging. I'll never have a chance cuz I can't make any of the shoots with my stupid work schedule.

I did finally break in my 6.5x47 and ran 6 different powders thru it. Just ran 3 shot groups to get an idea of where to start, but it liked every powder I put thru it. There wasn't any load that didn't show promise. All shot in the .2's to .3's from a horrible rest I rigged up since I still don't have a good front rest. All the brass was virgin and un-fire-formed too. I know the gun would have shot even better than .2s & .3s with a good rest and fired brass, but that was the best shooting I could muster with the rest I had. She's definitely gonna be a competitor to watch out for. Now if I could only find the time to make some shoots....

Brandon,
Tom did okay but not his usual, Derek did awesome, I pulled 3 of his four targets, it's a pleasure pulling them is all I can say,...3 100's for him this weekend, I shot the best I ever have but conditions were tough, light conditions were rough, if your gun tracked perfectly and you trusted it you were okay otherwise you chases to X all over the place because of the light changing so rapidly, if I had brought my .222 I would have had no worries, everytime I come on here your here, why can't you find the time to come? someone will let you use a rest, if were not on the same relay you can use mine or I have a spare I usually bring anyway.

Well I can post on here from wherever my phone has service so it's pretty easy to be on this site. It's a little harder to take off work because I work 14 days in a row, weekends included, then 7 days off. So if the shoot ends up on a work weekend, I'm SOL. I was off this last weekend for the shoot but was busy moving into a new house. Won't be able to make April shoot either because of work schedule.

You want to know the truth on my rest situation?
I don't have a rest yet because I honestly don't know if I want to buy one. I'm having a hard time convincing myself to spend $600-$1K on a rest that I "MAY" get to use 2 times per year, 3 times if I'm really lucky with my work schedule and shoot dates. I actually sat around for an entire day after loading the barrel break in and initial load test rounds for my 6.5x47L because I wasn't sure if Iwanted to shoot the rifle, or try to sell it as a brand new unfired gun and give up competition. But I did shoot it, and after seeing what it can do, I'm not going to sell it. I knew it would be very accurate and that's why I didnt really want to shoot it because once Isaw it on paper, I also knew I wouldn't be able to convince myself to sell.

Its very frustrating having put all that money into a good shooting rifle and not being able to make shoots, but work is definitely priority when it comes down to it. Ill get her figured out someday.....

Yep, well you wouldn't need a rest if you would shoot a .222 you could hip shoot it at 1000 yards and it would be just one hole!!! anyway as I said you may use my rest if you want to shoot and don't have one.
Wayne.

Yes sir this is why, I know I should just put the key board down but this guy keeps my blood boiling ;)
P.S I really enjoyed this weekend a lot, I shot my best group ever, 3/4 of a inch behind you but good for me, I enjoyed our visits and dinner was awesome,...lots of fun, talked to my boss today and he said I should be able to get it off, Your an amazing shooter my friend, I think every once in a while annatural comes along, that would be you and Tom, I really enjoyed pulling your targets, sure wished I had been on the one that was a crappy pull, I'll be on top of it next time ;)

Whoa Whoa...... pump your brakes my friend..... You are just as good of a shot as me. You will be scary good once you have some new equipment to work with. I just let that gun track through the lighting changes, and didn't mess with the knobs. Thats all.
Leo and Tom are my mentors as well, and I just try to soak in as much info as possible, and apply it as best I can.
I still have a few issues I need to work on with that heavy gun, but hope to get it resolved before then next match.
Do you think Paul will be shooting in April??

Thank you Derek,..I appreciate that, I like the way you analyze things and put what you get from it all to practical use, I hope to have my new stuff up and running by mid season and I really hope Paul come to the next shoot as well, I have learned a ton the last month or so, Tom and Leo are such great guy's always willing to help, not like some of the other bench rest crowd I have been around at all.

It doesn't need a good trigger if it is a triple deuce, 23.75 lb trigger and they still will all go in one hole if it's a 222,........no worries ;)

:o :o :o :o ??? ??? ??? ::) ::) ::) ::) :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X
