The really like the idea of the blaser. If they made the action with a 700 footprint and sold just the action I’d possibly consider one.

Impact Precision.
I own several Bighorns (OG/TL2) and will not replace them, but... The Impact is super nice and very, very smooth right out of the box.
I do not think the action is what makes running the bolt fast. That comes from lots of practice. Additionally, the more I compete at a higher level, I have been running my bolt slower. Smooth and 100% is the best results. You are not making up any time, but if you have a feeding issue, you lose lots of time.

Problem with Mausingfield is finding your brass!!!!"I'll just have to suffer my crappy Mausingfield til then,
I've got a bunch of custom action makers pissed at me because I've never encountered a custom SS action that doesn't bind horribly.
So far I believe nothing I've read here re customs.

A Tikka is slicker than probably any custom or factory action out there. I've though for a long time that a bolt head similar to an ar10 would be nice in a bolt gun. You could have a really short throw, anyway. Still gotta cock it far enough though. Still may be doable. Just what I need...anudder project.I've got a bunch of custom action makers pissed at me because I've never encountered a custom SS action that doesn't bind horribly.

What is it, a Stiller? Nevermind that. How 'bout a Borden Alpine or Timberline? I don't know what I was thinking when I said Stiller. No binding on this one:View attachment 1070108
Yes, Mike. A Borden. What is it, a Stiller? Nevermind that. How 'bout a Borden Alpine?
If I could give you a double like on that, I would. How about five starsWhat is it, a Stiller? Nevermind that. How 'bout a Borden Alpine or Timberline? I don't know what I was thinking when I said Stiller.
I love all the Borden actions! Jim and his guys do a wonderful job. I've been a big fan since way before they became so popular. IMHO, his BR actions are the best of a very good crop of custom actions. I loved them from the very first one I saw, whenever that was. It probably goes back to some of his first ones. Way better than his TPE/Nesika venture actions, and they weren't bad.
Stiller action for a repeater! No doubt about it. I've built several with the Stiller.I’m trying to decide which action to use on my next build. I don’t have a “full custom” yet so I feel like I’m missing out. I really want a smooth fast cycling repeater action. Something that doesn’t have a hard bolt lift or want to bind if not worked just right. Dare i say something that cycles like my Sako TRG. Caliber will most likely be 6xc run the 115 DTAC or 6.5 prc.
