When you finally get them to all go in the same holeMan I am so thankful that I decided against making my own bullets awhile back...
It's all worth it then !

My trays for long (1.4”) .30s are made out of delrin. The “cones” on the top layer are drilled with a large radial center drill. 3/4” if I recall. Very precisely. One. At. A. Time. One of three layers that have to line up almost perfectly. It’s painful. The materials are expensive. (Price our some 3/4”- 1” delrin plate). Metal is totally unnecessary and something brittle like plexiglas would be a pain.
Under no circumstances will I make any more of these than I absolutely have to. Not without a cnc mill. Life is too short.
Unless you have a drill jig then its a piece of cake ......
It's called "recycling", something Hollywood now clings to for dear life (with a few notable exceptions.)yes sir the original thoughts are not common anymore...Happy New Year
Kind of like wanting a cherry '57 Chevy. If you buy a tired one it'll cost you $150k to restore it properly and take a year or three. Or you can go to any good auction and buy the best restored one in your state for $30k and not be upside down in it. (I exaggerate but not much.)Randy, If they are so easy to make, how come mine shot like Mexican jumping beans. I'd rather buy good ones.
Yes! on the 3D printing, but getting that behind you is a whole 'nother odyssey. You can make do with a drill press and some patience, or maybe look into using a 3D printer for some of the parts.
He is doing okay, but he has cut way back on activities since having open heart surgery. Also, he turned 80 years old back in September and like me keeps his shooting close to home. He does a little 300 yard shooting and I shoot 300 and 600. How have you been doing? JamesJames, How is Richard doing as I have not seen either of you in a few years...
