Probably even higher than that. Light duty Ram truck wheel lugnuts use 130ft-lb (176Nm). I know because I just left the plant 30 minutes ago and I had to check the torque for lugs for a rework procedure.

Most lug wrenches I have seen that come with the vehicle struggle to loosen 50 lbs.

I'm old and it has been a LONG time since I was in the shop, I know some of the newer stuff has increased the amount of torque required to hold the wheels on!

No, that’s not accurate. Aluminum alloys have been around and popular for much longer.

My 1989 Maxima had aluminum wheels.

Im just saying wheels and tires have changed alot since that chart came out. My wifes new telluride has 20” wheels and takes 110lbft of torque. The mechanics use torque sticks. Heres a chart for a typical ram these days

Roadside service is what they count on. My owners manual shows you how to stand on the lug wrench to break them loose
