ATF BOMBSHELL re AR Pistol Braces

Seems like it used to be that anything with a barrel below ~16" was considered and registered as a pistol.
If true, then why are they doing all this SBR/brace stuff?

See that type of shit, pushing the rules, is what gets us to where we are now. Thats the stupidest AR ive ever seen.
To each their own. That pistol is most likely someones "go to" weapon in a travel scenario. Easily kept in a vehicle and since it's a pistol, it can be kept loaded and is covered under a concealed pistol permit. Remember, not everyone thinks the same. Some of us do realize there is true evil in this world and try as hard as possible to prepare for that to protect ourselves and others. There are literally thousands and thousands of ex-military and law enforcement personal who have a similar setup as that.

Please keep an open mind when it comes to this "brace" matter. The ATF stated multiple times, on their own legal letter head, that brace equipped weapons were pistols and could be used as such. It's been the rule for years, so many and by many I mean tens of millions of people took their word and ran! Now, they decided to change their minds. That's not sitting well for everyone effected!

Just wondering out loud - Are class 3 items included in all the new "assault weapon" bans?
If not, It would be handy to have an AR that could still be legally bought and sold even if it is under a
form 4 . I already have an SBR , but if they are handing out "free" tax stamps I may be
interested . I am guessing the shockwaves and binary triggers are next

The second amendment is so simple, clear, uncomplicated, and unambiguous,,
I ask myself "Why would anyone want to change it, limit it, complicate it or even
destroy it completely?" They truly care about the safety and welfare of others??
Really?? By limiting those they care about so much from being able to defend themselves?
"But it's for the children!" So "THEY" want to be the parents??
Given any amount of logical thought, any and all of these limitations, restrictions, and
"infringements", it's so obvious who they really benefit.
Firearms have been called "Great Equalizers" but no criminal ever wants equality
when they are in the act of predation. That's natural law.
It's a continuous little by little, bit by bit war for them even in the face of supreme
court rulings.
I really like what the sheriffs in Illinois have done with that governor and that is one way to defeat them. Simply make them irrelevant.

I get the setup and the advantages.
I do find it a bit surprising that people are outraged when ATF looks at that and says "Hey, that's not what we had in mind when we said braced pistols could possibly be not counted as SBRs."

Actually, it takes a constitutional expert to correctly interpret the 2A today.
I mean I'm no expert, but the 2A is clearly not put there for hunting, sports, or even personal protection.

Sadly, this nation has yet to invoke the 2A function.
This, because the 2A cannot work without organization, which cannot occur without privacy.
We are already checkmated..

Its all because every LARPer out there is posting facebook pics of a SBR upper with a brace on the back as they ran thru the local woods with every accessory that fits a rail. They were taunted and responded. An 11 or 13” barrel with a pistol brace on the back is stupid because it got us to this point.

I have noticed that the Oath of Office that every newly elected politician must
have to swear to now has changed:

It must now be:
"Do you solemnly swear to keep everybody safe at all times and be the parent of every child in your jurisdiction from this day forward so help you God?"
