I have two and they're really accurate pistols. If you REALLY want a shooter get the Volquartsen ScorpionI highly recommend the Ruger MkIII with a target barrel. Very reliable and very accurate out of the box.

The Ruger 22/45 is their cheaper model with the grip angle of a 1911 and I've had one for years and shot it in competition for a while, never jammed or failed to extract, is very accurate too. My go to gun for local rodents.I am looking at buying my first handgun and am curious about what you guys think of the Smith & Wesson M&P22? I am looking for a reliable accurate 22.lr for shooting at the range for fun. No competitions just for fun.
Thanks
